Have to agree with Finch to some extent here; believe the hype and you build yourself up for a big fall. On the other hand, we're playing some good stuff, scoring goals and winning games in direct contrast to the god-awful campaign we endured last season so I guess it is good to see that people (myself included) are beginning to regain the faith.

That said, those of you who seem to think that the RFC Promotion Party build up thread is in any way amusing are presumably the same people who watch Last of the Summer Wine  .

Are you a big fish or a little fish?

I'm not getting carried away - I was still nervous the week before the Leicester game in 2006. It's certainly not worth seriously thinking about promotion until well after Christmas. Remember when Milwall were top of the table at Christmas, and still went down?

I'm not nervous whatsoever.
It's perfectly apparent that we're one of the best sides ever to play in this League and this season we're one of the best teams.

If we keep the consistency, we will be up.
Easy-peasy.
Been feeling the same from an hour after we went down from the Prem, only if we kept Coppell.

I was more nervous that day than I will be at any stage of this season.

Why on Earth do you care what Reading fans think? Why are you bothered what fans of other teams think about Reading fans?

1995/6 season. They went top early in December, and had actually slipped back to second or third by Christmas. I think I'm right in saying they are also the only club to go down from tier 2 with more than 50 points since the 3pts for a win was introduced (they got 52 and were relegated on GD IIRC).
