Svlad Cjelli The big irony of this all is, of course, that if Alex McCarthy had been in goal in the play-off final instead of Federici he would probably (in my mind, at least) have made a better job of preventing Swansea's second goal -in which case there's more of a chance that Federici would now be preparing to play at a higher level.

floyd__streete Classy from Federici isn't it, a public 'come and get me plea'. Almost as classy as his constant refusal to acknowledge the many blunders he has made over the last 2 or 3 seasons. Get rid and plug that defecit; that gaping, pourous defecit.

Usually the trick of players who haven't really been talked about or generated much interest as if they've almost been forgotten about....He's the one player in the whole starting XI that it would take zero effort to replace. The problem is would you seriously buy him if you were a Premiership manager? the only 3 clubs looking for a starting keeper are Villa, WBA and Swansea. He's not good enough to play for Villa so that takes them out of the equation, WBA have today said they want either Foster or Green which leaves Swansea, unless he's happy to go somewhere and sit on the bench.

Archie's penalty Get rid of the cocky bastard.
We don't need him.
Look at the way Jobi has been behaving recently, or Long, or Kebe. That's the way to go.

Svlad Cjelli I'll be the first to admit I've never warmed to Federici - he's always struck me as much too much of an Australian.

Svlad Cjelli I'll be the first to admit I've never warmed to Federici - he's always struck me as much too much "I am, I am, look at me" and much more of an individual player than a team player. Perhaps I just naturally hate arrogance, but he's always rubbed me up the wrong way from day one.
And when you consider that after all the clubs he trawled round looking for a break it was Reading who took the risk on him, a little more humility would seem to be in order, IMHO.

Excellent - now we're having a go at players who show ambition.......
Know your place Federici, it's the Reading way.

sandman Hardly the words of someone who always blames his mistakes on others. In fact as it says in the second article that he's quite harsh on himself.

Svlad Cjelli Kevin Doyle had ambition, but he quietly went about things behind the scenes, in a totally professional way. And when he moved away, everyone wished him well and still thinks fondly of him.
