Surely one of the oldest back fours in the history of the tournament

brendywendy if we beat man city with that back four

If we beat Man City with that back four it will be a miracle along the lines of a virgin birth, turning water into wine, walking on water, etc.

Having said that, at least three of those four players have a clear tendency to massively up their game performance for the big occasion matches. Gunnarsson in particular.

Hedging and fence-sitting that Ian Royal would be proud of. :D

silas
Jeffers217 I'm more concerned about Dzeko- he's class! And if they play Adam Johnson as he'll rape our full backs

Not with a oxf*rd ankle he won't

i cannot begin to imagine the pain, that would be caused to both the rapist, and rapee, of being raped with someones broken ankle

Not impossible.

Well, just review Brynaldos performance against Liverpool, and tell me that's not someone who's upped their game for a big match.

Ideal And your point is? Clearly it's not to be expected that these players can defeat the multi millionaires playing for Man C.

Of course not. In keeping with expecting a two-goal defeat at Ipswich
and thus we get a two-goal win, I'm expecting to lose 5-0 at City

Mills might be fit enough to play on Sunday. Not my opinion; that's what he said himself. He's just waiting for the all clear.

As much as he will be passionate about playing - would this be through a pain barrier or genuinely fit?

Fit enough to play anyway. He was just awaiting the phone call about a fitness test... he wasn't limping or anything anyway and seemed pretty positive. :)

Optimist
brendywendy SUNDAYS GAME IS SANDWICHED VERY TIGHT BETWEEN TWO EUROPEAN CUP GAMES. AND THEIR PREM FORM IS THE PRIORITY- THEY ARENT GUARANTEED TO MAKE 4TH YET.

(oops caps lock!)

SO I WOULDNT SURPRISED IF ITS NOT THE FULL STRENGTH MAN CITY TEAM.

Exactly. They have Kiev (A), Long flight home, URZ (H), Kiev (H) & Chelsea (H) in the space of 11 days. And yeah top four in the Prem and going as far as possible in Europe would be more important to them I reckon. But then again a non-full strength team for them will still be quite daunting to our makeshift defence as they have 33,000 quality players to choose from

top 4 must be the priority, by a mile- its what they need to attract that next level of player.
then i guess the FA cup, after their appalling result in kiev
