Re: Royals Post - XMAS SPECIAL RECORDING 19/12 SPREAD EAGLE

by moo » 29 Dec 2011 00:03

+1, its nice to be able to listen to these at my leisure, always a good bit of entertainment, and the interviews are excellent.

Really enjoyed the tales from the bus driver, so some more old tales that can go a bit further behind the scene would be excellent. Who would have thought a certain centre back who used to be able to go in goal would block the bog on the team bus?!

Excellent as usual. Welcome back Paul!

One question: are you recording in a room devoid of acoustic baffling? And if so, maybe we can pass the hat around to procure some for you!

An observation: Noticed that a few times Jonny starting talking and then it got louder. Passing the mic to him? It's an improvement as even Paul is louder than Jonny a lot of the time.

Cheers PremAddict. The room is an office we have access too, we're hoping to improve the acoustics but don't have much in way of a budget to do so at the mo - we want the show to sound as good as possible so we will look at doing something.

We don't move the mic around so Jonny must be boosting his sound in the edit

Stranded Morning,

A friend and I have just started a regular RFC podcast and the pilot show is now available at http://www.footballfancast.com/fancast/ ... /2008/6824

As this is the pilot show there are few editorial quirks we need to iron out, which we will do over the rest of the season. A new show will be available weekly, usually on a Monday morning (depending on our hangover on Sunday). It’ll be available as an iTunes subscription or via the website.

If you could take a chance to listen to the show and give us some feedback that would be appreciated, any ideas you might like to see featured, anything really. General murkings are also expected and most welcome.

I should point out that the nickname my mate gave me will not be staying….

Stranded, can you edit the first post on this thread to include the new home:

Cheers moo...the show is online was waiting for the iTunes link before posting but not got it yet!

Unsurprisingly it's fully focused on the takeover this week with John Keen joining us in the studio.

the reading fans(posters) are likeable enough, but fordham ruins it for me. can't stand him. i know he needs to be involved to get the exposure you need but he knows less than the average fan. and john keen you say? no doubt getting his seven questions out where they can't be deleted. a clued up supporter but his insistence on being heard is another irrational dislike of mine. but good luck to you, credit where credit's due.

Perhaps that should have been put on one side, then.

Can I suggest Paul gets a lavalier microphone? The dynamic difference between him and Westy will leave me deaf before long. Another suggestion: always announce when Westy is about to speak. that way I can have plenty of time to turn it down (all the way). :P
