Morro can only get into our team because we haven't got anyone else left to play CB.

Ta Cardiff. You'd probably have been equally rewarded buying a large piece of card for a couple of quid, drawing a picture of Morrison on it and staking it into the ground.

You're all mocking Cardiff.....and to an extent I agree this is an excellent deal for us.....

But does anyone want to bet ten pound against my prediction that Cardiff will finish above us this season :?:

Thought not.

WoodleyRoyal Nothing against Hammond but everyone saying well done to Hammond again seems a little over the top, Cardiff may have just put in a 4 million bid and we accepted could be nothing to do with him

Got this spot on - great post - well done Luke Anthony, you nailed it on the transfer.

I'll offer £10 against £20 Floyd. Given our differing circumstances. Or £10 vs £10 that they don't finish top 2.

No, why would they? No-one's suggesting that we'll finish above them. What people are saying is that £4m is too much to pay for Sean Morrison. These opinions are two separate things.

Green DaveBanana seems like the kind of man who doesn't take himself too seriously.

Come and join us over on AE, champ.

Hmm, I think opinions might be... split.

SPARTA Cardiff clearly have more money than sense. Morrison isn't worth £2m, let alone £4m. But fair fcuks, that's great business again by Nicky Hammond. Hector and Ferdinand will slot in nicely and we can either find a replacement or push Cooper into 4th choice. It's a season of transition for us anyway, so I'm not worried about this at all. £4m  They're going to be pissed when they released how flat footed he is.

Ferdinand will slot in nicely? Some of our fans have been brainwashed by the club.

It is a fantastic deal for us if we actually invest in a quality replacement..

Agreed. Tbh, our fans deserve to watch a struggling team.

If you think Ferdinand will slot straight in then I am afraid you are deluded sir. He hasn't had a pre-season or much time to gel. Remember when morro recovered from that long lay off and played straight away? Adkins isn't stupid and won't make that mistake again. It will be Hector and Pearce at the back for a considerable amount of time until one of them makes a mistake.

Assume you are not talking to me. I would be happy with Pearce/Hector for now. But leaves us with an embarrassing lack of options in CM.

He's been living of a couple of good tackles when we got beat 7-5. His best game was when we conceded 7 goals

Was aimed at Sparta. I agree about the CM position. Only have Kuhl, Taylor, Tshibola and Akpan as natural CMs fit to play there.

I'm not sure why people are attributing the £4m bid to OGS, surely he'd say he wanted the player and got his DoF or Chairman to do the deal?

YEP:

We have confirmation of one at least...although still not certain of availability for tomorrow...

A Cardiff City statement said: "We can confirm that a deal to bring Sean Morrison to Cardiff City Football Club has, this afternoon, been completed.

"Twenty-six year old Sean, a 6'4" centre half, has signed with the Bluebirds until the summer of 2018.

"The relevant paperwork has been submitted, with Sean's eligibility ahead of Saturday' game with Huddersfield to be confirmed."
