Had to laugh when I read the following extract from the getreading site. After all, in terms of location, that's what I'm doing - 'avin a larf. Let's just say that it's a hard ol' life being a professional footballer. And by the look of things, if his form last Saturday was anything to go by, he'd better carry on lifting a few more boxes.
It’s been a busy time for Kermorgant since he arrived at Madejski Stadium from Bournemouth during the January transfer window.
While adjusting to a new club and new teammates, the experienced forward has also been house hunting with a heavily pregnant wife.
Fortunately that search has now concluded and he is settled in a new home - but the 34-year-old admits it has been a difficult balancing act.
“Moving in January is completely different because you are already in the middle of the Championship so you immediately have to play games and train,” he said.
“In the summer when you are on a break you can organise all your things, your house, move your boxes and stuff.
“But when it’s January it’s hard. My wife is due in April as well so it was not the best timing to move to be fair.”
Kermorgant added: “The biggest concern for me was lifting all the boxes after training. Physically you have to rest, at my age when you go home you should have a nap or just sit on the sofa to rest your legs.
“But when you’re having to move boxes, to go up and down stairs it’s quite annoying.
“My wife of course is expecting a baby so she couldn’t do much and I have to make sure I look after her as well.
“So it’s a relief that it’s now all done.”
