So there's nothing more to it, it's just not funny.

Augem
CountryRoyal
Augem Blackburn away 7th May

I'm confused, why's that funny?

Well I'm not sure if I'm falling into a trap here :?:

Our last match is in Blackburn on the 7th of May and as I am predicting will will come 7th so we won't be in the play offs therefore I believe we will be in Blackburn when our season finishes :)

Snowball136 25-1 to go up (Betfair) is not a bad punt.

We are still in touch. If Brian does well we can make the top six
and then win the POs as we have the momentum

Dropped to best-price 14-1

Oilroyal Strong run in taking us into top 6 and finally win a play off final.

Believe!

+1.

This is a top 2 squad. The last couple of months have put us a way off the top 4, but we're only four points behind Ipswich and eight behind Burnley. We can make that up.

Reading are 500-1 to win the league this year.

How many points were we behind the year we won it?

Of course it's highly unlikely but worth £20?

(12-1 for promotion, 16-1 to go up by winning the POs)

If we get to the play off final we will win it. Been there too many times now to be unsuccessful

Not so much about the result as a day drinking in the Bree Louise for me.

It's only worth £20 if you have £20 you no longer want. Give it to charity, not a bookie

Top of the league, that's always the aim until it's no longer possible

Yeah, nobody should ever bet. Nobody should do the lottery either.

£20 is neither here nor there, and a punt that might earn £10,000
if we repeated our run from the McDermott Championship season
would add rather a large amount of spice.

There is a chance to get a return from the bookie, But no chance from charity,
(never any audit on charities)

7 22 09 6 7 08 7 27 22 +05 33 1.50 ppg Reading

2011 2 points off top-six, 10 off automatic, 11 off top
2015 4 points off top-six, 14 off automatic, 16 off top

The run we went on in 2011 was amazing.

We picked up 56 points in 24 games = 2.33 ppg

If we did that again we'd finish on 86 points, almost certainly NOT enough to win the league.

I'm not for one moment suggesting we would, but the way we comfortably beat teams earlier in the season it looked like we'd never lose, which made our decline all the more shocking. I shan't get carried away after one result but if we stay injury free and build on the back of this, stay unbeaten over the next week or so, there is no reason why we can't replicate some of that form, especially under a manager who like McD.

Not many of us thought we'd get all 3 against Blackburn and it was, on face value, the trickiest of the 4 fixture block we find ourselves in over Christmas. Wolves are truly atrocious at the moment but I don't think it will be as easy as it looks. We should really be looking at winning the two home games after that against Brentford and Brizzle if we are to be serious promotion candidates.

McD was right, this league is all about momentum, and if we are going to start building some, now is as good as a time as any.

In 2015 we started ok, got shit hot and then fell apart. Games 16 - 22 netted us 6 out of 21 points

McDermott's still got a lot of work to do despite the quality of the squad, one swallow doesn't make a summer. There is no way we are going to make up an extra 5 points on the herculean job we did in 2011, when we're still only just, maybe, thrusting our noses out of a bad bad run.

Nothing wrong with sensible bets. But if you want to throw your money away for no reason, more power to you.

Without trying to be pedantic that is a fairy irregular sentence and certainly bares little relation to conventional syntax and linguistic code.

I understood what you meant though so I suppose it fulfilled its purpose.

I understood it, I was merely reaffirming the point I'd already made in more detail, seeing as you'd had a bit of a hissy fit about it snowball.

Getting rid of a few of the loan players and concentrating on our own players would be a preference for me, we have a great blend of youth and experience even without all these loanee's on board. I would like to see Samuel and Fosu brought back for the second half of the season and start using Sa and Hurtado a bit more. With the likes of Quin and Tishibola coming back to fitness and Kuhl back again lets start getting a settled team ready for a promotion push next season.
I'm sure Brian would like to get a player or two of his own in the upcoming transfer window, and hopefully on permanent deals and not more mercenaries.... and who knows maybe he could work his magic and still push for the last play-off spot this season.

If we got rid of some of the Loanee's and concentrated on our own players then maybe a squad of:

Bond
Gunter McShane Ferdinand Quinn
Norwood
Williams Tishibola
Blackman Sa Fosu

Subs: New Keeper, Cooper, Samuel, Kuhl, McCleary, Hurtado, Taylor (If Signed)

or

Bond
Gunter McShane Cooper Quinn
Norwood Tishibola
Blackman Williams Hurtado
Samuel

Subs: New Keeper, Ferdinand, Kuhl, Sa, Fosu, McCleary, Taylor (If Signed)

Or how about

Bond
Gunter McShane Ferdinand Quinn
McCleary Williams Norwood Hurtado
Blackman Sa

Subs: New Keeper, Cooper, Tishibola, Samuel, Fosu, Kuhl, Taylor (If Signed)

We have plenty of options and i like the idea of Quinn at left back, it gives us that extra security with his sheer enthusiasm for the game and willingness to be everywhere. Failing that we can bring him back into the middle and switch with Taylor or Obita. I would be happy with either of those sides, they certainly wouldn't be a pushover in this league.
