Will you sing the Parky song on Monday?

Yes, he's a Reading legend, and deserves it.

No, I'm backing the current Reading team, not a former player trying to boot us out of the club.

Come on. A real Reading Legend. I will sing 5 parkinsons all day long, why wouldn't you?

Because spurring on a member of the opposition is counter-productive.

Before the game, maybe after the game. Not really during the game.

As if it will make any difference to the team / result whether we sing it or not!??

You lot take this lark far too seriously

When Brian came back with Leeds we sang for him at the start of the game (and rightly so)

Parky has given me more good times watching Reading than our current bunch combined, so I'll sing for him whilst you plastics crack on with Sweet Caroline & your sea of scarves

McD was completely different - he'd been our manager and left in bad circumstances - I expect even the players would have joined in if they could. Parky is an ex player - yeah he was great for us THEN - now he's the manager of a side that could stop us getting to the fa cup semis - why would we help buoy him up and demoralise our team by chanting his bloody name. If we beat his team tomorrow night, give him a clap and a cheer after the game to cheer him up

Unless we're 3-0 up and cruising into the semi-finals, no

Average player who stayed here during the late 90's and early 2000's because he was the least talented of the 93/94/95 generation and therefore no one else wanted him. The likes of Hislop, Osborn, Gilkes, Quinn and later players like Cureton and Forster gave us those good times, Parkinson was just there for the ride.

You deserve to spend eternity watching Swindon for that comment sandman. Wash your keys of that filth this instant.

As if any current player would be offended by a cheer for a club legend.

Many of the current crop will return with other clubs in future and hope for a decent reception. The difference with Parky is that he has earned his.

Clarke's even said he deserves it.
