Dont wish him any ill. He got nearly 40 England Caps from 2002 - 2009 which isnt that long ago. Won the Premier, the Fa Cup, League Cup... Didnt see these comments when he signed, he's obviously a shower of shite.

If he hadn't gotten injured, this would have been an ace signing.

Good player, did well when he could, a gamble that didn't pay off. An Anton gamble perhaps?

Anyway, I wish him the best.

Unusually magnanimous of you, EP.

But yeh I guess I do too. Hopefully he's successful in his next venture whatever that may be, and he's viewing this as the end of the beginning rather than the beginning of the end.

MmmMonsterMunch Exactly. He knew he was a crock & could have retired months ago & saved us a bit of cash but no he still took the money like he has done for pretty much the last decade of his career.

Agreed. Given the choice of being paid hundreds of thousands of pounds that was contractually owed to me, or randomly choosing instead to receive no money, I'd definitely do the latter... oh, hang on, no I wouldn't, because I'm not a fúcking retard.

He was class early in the season. Injuries happen, no one can predict them. It was fairly innocuous if I remember correctly, just a shame.

After playing 40 games and being the championship left back of the season last year. It was a nobrainer to sign him.

However, if he hadn't got injured, obita might not have been given the chance to shine and it's obvious his development has come a long way this season, partly down to the fact bridge got injured.

If he hadn't got injured this season, I would have fully expected us to renew his contract as he would have been a standout player.

The Real Sandhurst Royal I thought Bridge would be a great signing for the Royals at the beginning of the season his class and experience were just what was needed.

We should have learnt from the Ferdinand, Keown fiasco, don't sign older players.

For every Ferdinand, Bridge etc. there's a Morley, a Quinn, a Harte etc. if they're fit, available, within budget and can do a job then age is irrelevant.
