Norfolk Royal LOL, what was he drinking?
by TBM » 24 May 2013 10:56
TFFTBM I remember he came to my Father in Laws 60th (they're friends) and was hammered there too
Photo evidence:
Was even dancing on the stage with his "secretary"
He ran into my m8's dad at some business lunch and recognised him from primary school. M8's dad had a good old chat with him and invited him to a house party (anniversary or birthday, I can't remember). He turned up and stayed a good few hours.
Pretty good sort really.

RoyalBlueRoyal With CheeseThe Sun Sir John’s always had a thing for redhead singers, namely CILLA BLACK.
Not sure why they felt the need to shout this.
That's just the sort of thing a pissed Grandad would try to do!
Fair play to him.
Which is why you try to avoid inviting grandads, who have a great affection for drink, to such events!
Not the sort of behaviour you want from any club official.
Wonder how one of us would be treated if, under the influence of alcohol, we were to try to get on the pitch to comfort Jobi because people were being nasty to him!

No Fixed Abode What a complete helm. Drunk or not, no excuse for this behaviour especially when he's condemned Reading fans for going on the pitch before. What a hypocrite.

Once were Biscuitmen Legend.
My fav thing about SJM is how much middle aged men who have done nothing with their lives seem to dislike him.
It's probably the whole working class kid who becomes multi-millionaire thus highlighting their abject failures while removing class based excuses for their lot thing.

What an utterly absurd thing to write but I guess it is based on the crass assumption that achievements in life are measured solely on the basis of the amount of money that someone makes. I dislike Madejski and although I haven't made millions ( still haven't done badly thanks) I believe I have already achieved quite a lot in my life. Talking of 'class', one thing his boorish behaviour demonstrates is that making millions doesn't necessarily lead to class.
And when it comes to role models in life, I really hope my kids don't regard Madejski to be the ideal role model. If making money/rags and riches stories are important, then there are plenty who have successfully trodden that route and appear to be far more likeable individuals who do not seek out the media spotlight and do not feel the need to be the centre of attention on a regular basis.
As for Royal With Cheese brushing all those involved in football with the same brush - the vast majority of managers, owners, chairpersons etc. behave impeccably. What's more Madejski always kept telling us that football is a business and you won't find many business leaders behaving that way either. His behaviour is not what you want to see from a decent 'family' (another of Madejski's boasts) club. As I said previously, I wonder what Waitrose make of his behaviour - doesn't exactly fit in with the image they like to cultivate (and before someone mentions Delia - they gave her the boot a while back).
We have already seen Madejski publically breaking ranks with the club owner - does anyone really believe that Madejski would have tolerated that from one of his staff when he owned the club?. Now we have him behaving like this - again I wonder how he would have reacted had an RFC employee attracted this type of publicity when he was in charge?
The sooner Anton gets shot of the attention seeking dinosaur the better.
