I can't see them failing to score with the pace and movement of Dyer and Routledge, both of whom have undone us in the past.
If Jimmy is on his A game and gets enough of the ball I can see him causing problems for the left-back (who isn't that good defensively) and getting what we always try to get, loads of corners.
I see us scoring twice from those corners but Swansea also scoring at least twice so I'll go for a repeat of the first game,2-2.

Brian in his interview afterwards says that the players have given everything this season ,are a great bunch of lads to work with and 10 points is a marvellous return for a litle club like Reading and remember where we were not so long ago but the fans (I must keep them onside)have been terrific and much appreciated by the players and we move on to play West Ham ,a club that has spent so much more than us and we will be looking to win the game as we always do but they will be a hard team to beat as there are no easy games at this level and they have the advantage of not having a game on Boxing Day (conveniently forgetting to say that West Ham have about 10 players out injured) and unlike little Reading who never get anything they managed to get Cole''s red card rescinded.

Last 4 have been 3 loses and a lucky draw. During the noughties we had a good run against them including a 5-0 at the Mad I think?

Unfortunately I've a funny feeling McDermott will revert to his favoured 4-4-2 for Boxing Day and we'll end up getting pulled apart by Swansea's passing and threat down both wings.

Listening to Tabb on the radio after the City game and I just got the feeling the players are trying to convince McDermott that 4-5-1 is the way forward. It feels a bit like when Sir Bobby was supposedly encouraged by the England players at Italia 90 to play 5 at the back.

^^ This... ^^ I think we will get the same kind of treatment from Swansea as we did when we played them in the play off final.........

Yes we did beat them 5-0. IIRC, Martin Butler got a perfect hat trick that day ... left foot, right foot and a header.

Think I would take a 5-0 win this season too! :) Realistically we will be lucky to get a draw so I will predict 1-2 to Swansea, with Reading taking the lead of course ;-)

i'm worried we'll feel like nothing is going right for us this season after the late winner at city and come out and just not perform.

I'm going 2-2 which is not what we need at all. Desperately want a scrappy 1-0

Unfortunately you'll never get a scrappy game when playing against a slick side like Swansea.

Nevertheless, I think we'll win and possibly even get a clean sheet if Pearce is in the team. He's proven that he simply has to play.

2-0 to us, Karacan and McAnuff

Fancy us on this one. I'll go 2-1. Both sides had to work hard against the Mancs at the weekend. However, we've had slightly longer to recover, and I think the staff will have worked on the positives. Thereby using our performance as a springboard rather than a breeding ground for self-pity

Very winnable game.

People forget we're a GOOD side, just lackign in confidence.

The Guthrie fiasco is out in the open and now behind us, the players now know they have work to do to prove they belong here, and noone's expecting anything.

And it's when noone expects anything that Brian and his team thrives.

2 world wars, 1 world cup Very winnable game.

People forget we're a GOOD Championship side, lacking in confidence and ability at this higher level..
