RobRoyal Karacan did well enough defensively but, stop me if you've heard this one before, gave nothing creatively.

Except for setting up the only goal of the game?

Hardly a creative ball, it was a smack over the top and into the channels. Rubbish defending allowed church to break clear into a, seemingly, safe area. Yet he delivered a deft lob to beat the goalkeeper and surprise all the nay sayers..

Corrected to make it more accurate (but leaving your grammatical errors intact - because I am good like that).

RG30 Lovely taken goal from Church who eloquently chipped it over Lonergan.

While saying presumably: 'The elevation imparted by my instep connecting with the sphere will ensure its trajectory will be sufficient to render the custodian of the net powerless.'

Far from a classic for the neutrals but will take 3 points and clean sheet 2 weeks running against top 6 sides all day long.

Can only echo the comments re: Gorkss, he was incredibly good in the air. At times it looked like a training session for him to win headers as he made it look that easy.

Federici rarely had a save to make but to be fair to him, did well with a number of crosses.

Karacan had great energy in hustling Leeds when they had possession high up the pitch, something Le Fondre did well too. Think that Helped us as Leeds got very very nervous on the ball and so resulted in the long ball a lot which Gorkss was able to mop up effectively.

All in all, a great day's work.

RobRoyal Back-to-back wins where we would have been happy with a point of two, and suddenly we're up to 7th. With more firepower and creativity we could be a decent team again.

   'Could be a decent team again'? Do me a favour! We've been a decent team with an extremely good Manager for 22 months now. Only a fool or an Aldershot Fan could argue otherwise.

You're so busy arguing that you seem to have failed to spot he was wearing Jobi's shirt at the time?

Was he?

In that case it was definitely a creative ball

We were pretty far from a decent team earlier in the season.

Away wins at Leicester, Bristol City, and what turned out to be a point dropped against Southampyon confirmed that we were still a decent team. Yes we had a few bad results, but yet again, Brian had to contend with transfer disruption and rediscover the correct formula, a task that Brian acheived with confidence and relish.
A season is judged from August to May, its a marathon, not a sprint. As my Grandad used to say; 'Never show a job unfinished to Fools or Children'.

Not particularly. Especially once Gorkss and Cummings entered the fray.

We were a great team if you didn't bother yourself to watch us play.

Nope, Karacan was definitely wearing his own shirt when he made that pass. Just as Jobi was wearing his own shirt when he passed it inside for Karacan to hit long.

Oh right, what did your grandad say about losing to Forest and drawing with Coventry then? yes we're a work in progress, which is exactly why I pointed to where we need improvement to bring the work to completion - a comment which bizarrely seems to have raised your ire.

Decent teams finish mid-table. Something we've pretty much always been on for at worst this season. I think what you meant was "top" or "very good".

I would personally say average teams finish mid-table.

What a signing Kaspars Gorkss has been.

Big player for QPR last season and was replaced by Fitz Hall who barely featured last season :| (Dropped not injured)

robroyal, my Grandad is dead. And what would he say about us losing to Forest? Well he onced lived in Nottingham but never in Reading so maybe you could work that one out. But if your argument is about a team dropping silly points, then what would Manure fans say when they won the title last season but lost at molinuex, or Mancity fans having dropped points at lowly Fulham earlier this season? i'm sure they would claim that they still had decent teams. And don't credit yourself that you have raised my ire, you merely posted something that i disagreed with and posted a reply accordingly, thats all,

Boring win, but getting ugly points is a plus. We may be on a charge. And it is before Christmas.
