Barney This will obviously not go down well, but HUGELY unimpressed with Olise.

He's probably on a very good salary with us. Probably will leave in next year or so and obtain a lucrative deal elsewhere.

So DON'T be a miserable git when folks who are FAR more mature than you give you a pat on the back. And if his value is
circa 15m (or whatever insane values are these days) then I would not be disappointed if we took the cash.
And by the way Olise...you were taken to the cleaners by Brum in midweek.

Jog on.

Fill me in, what did I miss? Him looking miserable when patted on the back by everyone at the end of the game? Or something else?

Millsy So much negativity.

I've a lot of time for Baldock, scored some important goals for us in recent seasons. Great acceleration, quick decisions, good finisher.

If we try to use him like Joao (hint: we won't) then yes I can understand the negativity, but I'm sure we'll use Baldock to his strengths.

Making the comment ready for the post match gloat.

We can win this.

Where's the gloating then you clueless tosser? He was taken off.

VP quite positive about him - great movement off ball, getting behind defence etc. He implied that the players hadn't made the most of that. They need to adapt their style of play to accommodate a very different type of striker to Joao and Meite. Baldock is clearly more of a Nicky Forster than a Trevor Senior/Jimmy Quinn.

Ascotexgunner For me Olise has got a couple of players out of jail today. I'm still gonna bang on about Baldock and Aluko. Baldock is robbing this club of a strikers salary. In a perfect world he would volunteer to drop down 3 divisions to find his level. Aluko on the other hand is just robbing the club. Not sure how long they have on their contracts but it can't come to an end quick enough.

Baldock was pretty good with virtually no service.

He kept the defenders honest but was no threat.

He kept the defenders honest but was no threat.

He was a threat when he played off the shoulder for a ball over the top into space or when we turned the defence and put it across the face. But the balls were often too long, too short or too straight and he couldn't quite get on the crosses.

Then for some bizzare reason we started launching it for him to chest down or flick on to no one against two CBs twice his size.

Play to his strengths and he's ok. Not fabulous or anything but carries a threat.

This. He's fine for the role he now has in the squad but when he starts we have to play to his strengths and not Joao's.

F**k off Millsy. Why are you replying to yourself anyway? Really immature and it's not funny.

You crack on mate

No problem replying to yourself as far as I am concerned

At least you get a response that way

Baldock would be good if he was played in a 2 up front for us which he hasn't in all the time he's been here (as far as I can remember)

He excelled at Brighton alongside Glen Murray and I can remember we really struggled against them at the Amex in the 0-3 game (I think it was Stam era).

Who signed him? Was it Clement?

Zip A reassuring performance from Gibson. He will get game time now and is very likely to stay in January.
Laurent was brilliant. What a signing he’s been.
We really need Joao back on Wednesday as Baldock offers no threat. Lots of hard work but that’s it.
With Joao back and Olise starting we can get something from the Narch game.

VP says Joao out until New Year, Meite out for 'more than four weeks'.

Whats the difference?
