This list will look markedly different (well at least where we are) with 10 games to play...

True. 4 of the Top 5 in our next 4 games.

Average position of our opponents (given current positions) drops down to 13.7 for the last 9.

If we beat the teams below us, that takes us to 47 even with a 6pts deduction. We also have the 3 teams immediately above us.

Local journos on Twitter all going on about how we're 4th bottom now with the points deduction.

That's true, but we are winning or drawing our home games, the bottom three are not winning at all (unless they play each other) and the Fakes are dropping like a stone, as are Brum

To be fair, our only victories this year come against the bottom four (believe Rotherham were at the time we beat them) so we're no better.

Neil’s brought consistency to Huddersfield with two 4-0 defeats. Bristol City will want a reaction to their defeat in Cardiff and is one of those games that if you are in Huddersfield’s position you would be relying on 3 points at home against a mid-table side. If they lose on Tuesday that would be a massive kick in the balls to Huddersfield’s morale.

We just need to keep grinding the results at home points deduction or not

I fear the best we can hope for against Sheffild and Millwall is a draw, and I don't expect to avoid defeat in both, so pressure really on to get 3 points vs Hull.

Realistically, is it looking like a similar-ish position to last season bar Derby? Derby were obviously crippled by the points deductions but Peterborough and Barnsley just weren't good enough.

No matter how bad we can be at times, can we really say that any of Huddersfield, Wigan or Blackpool have shown any signs of getting out of trouble? Whilst we would be 21st as well, we are only a couple of good results from leapfrogging a couple of teams and, as mentioned, Brum and QPR are really poor at the moment.

I fancy us against both Sheff United and Millwall, purely because we are strong at home and the mentality seems miles different, even if the way we play doesn't.

Bilic sacked. Wilder to take over

Surprised it’s taken Watford this long to pull the trigger, been a poor appointment

Really hope Watford implode and start sinking, had enough of a joke club and the disgraceful way they treat managers. Though if they do Wilder will be gone in the summer.

2 other big games tonight...hope Bristol turn up at Hudds. West Brom should be too strong for Wigan, particularly at home

He's only been given a contract until the end of the season. Although at Watford that's probably a long term deal.

Just seen an article on GF that answers everyone's questions on why Stoke are ok on FFP.

They posted a profit on last season because their owner wrote off £120m of debt, otherwise they'd have lost another £18m+ and presumably lost points.

One of the rare cases of an owner writing off debt, not just loading it on.

So there you go all you fans of Dai... seeing as we owe him most our debt, we maybe could have escaped points deductions and embargos if he just wrote off debt. Not such a great guy is he.

A heck of a lot of money to write off for a club that are going absolutely nowhere at this level and that's with an owner who is a fan of the club as well.

I'm amazed that is actually allowed - a club can lose 13m per year that is covered by the owner - so if an owner is then paying off 120m of debt, then it has pumped in more than the allowable for that period surely?

How is that even permissable under FFP?

Beyond my non-existant accountancy skills.

I don't understand how writing.off historic debt changes current profit, unless the interest was astronomical.

I guess it might not be permissable
