Seems a feasable move for Harps, well it would be,sideways! Snap their hands off and see if you can get them to take the Irish pikey too!

Yeah, the Premier League is sideways from outside chance championship promotion hopefuls!

Had Karacan not proved last season that he can cover even more ground that Harper in a game, and get forward, then I'd be miffed at losing Harps. But for £2m, take it and thank you. Great lad, decent consistent performer but a new challenge would do him good too.
Karacan and Davies are looking very promising, and we have Marek, Gunnar ( :| ) and Cisse too. Not forgetting Tabb if he's used in the middle.

Good business.

Was/is a very good player, but has served his sentance @ Reading & time for a fresh start for both parties.

2Million+ & I'd be very happy!

Harper moving on is best for all parties but for £2mill that involves a 40% sell on fee?? I would rather keep him tbh

dudleywolf Seems genarally Harper is considered a good player(I definately rated him in your championship season) by the majority but also a sizable number feel he passed his best? still its one way of getting promoted eh? :D

Not past his best, just maybe needs a new club.
If he goes, he'll be 100% and he'll do you well.
Certainly not on the way down, but the move will definitely do him good, if he decides to move on.
Being serious here, anyone with any sense will appreciate all he's done for the club.

Really? I take you speak as someone who goes week in week out and has seen the lad play? He was superb last season. During spells of last season, he was everywhere, and put himself about too. Listening to commentary while watching, they were raving about him too. His energy is similar to that of Harper, but he was more attack minded too.

Why I'm responding to a racist Rangers supporting inbred though I don't know.

Harper can do that too but his role in Coppells side was to be the more defensive of the midfield pair

You cant slag him off for doing his job Jay, its what he was there to do and Coppell mentioned it plenty of times

yappy I believe Arsenal have a 40% (yes thats forty) sell-on clause.

I still think that's a disgrace. We should try to re-negotiate with Arsenal to reduce this. We need the money more than Arsenal do.

And we should give money to Swindon for Cox on the same grounds? Didn't see you arguing for that one...

I'm certainly not going to look back but Jay doesn't seem to be slagging off Harper at all.

Maybe a change of manager and style would be as good as a move for Harps so I would not like to see him go now. I come Jan he was looking as it he had lost his motivation then cash in but before then I would like to see him stay.

Based on last season's performances I would rather keep a young and improving midfielder with loads of energy, than keep a 28 year old midfielder with loads of energy (but not quite as much as he used to have) who seems to have been at the club just a little bit too long for his own good.

The not fit to lace boots comment would, at best, only be vaguely accurate if we were considering Harper's form of 3 & 4 years ago, but is really total bollocks when looking at more recent form.

He wasn't superb at all last season, he had 1/2 good games and was so bad against birmingham and so out of his depth he was taken off. Harper is CURRENTLY a much better player than karacan, hence a prem team is interested and coppell chose to play harper the majority of last season instead of him. You wouldn't understand this though as your football knowledge lacks and you have no sense of reality. As for your rangers comment- entirely irrelevant and I won't rise to a basket case like you.
