Snowball How exactly is Holloway a better manager?
Ian Holloway
Where are the statistics for 1996/97 where he took a struggling Bristol Rovers to 17th in the division?
Where are the statistics for 1997/98 where he took a previously struggling Bristol Rovers to the Division 2 playoffs?
Where are the statistics for 1998/99 where he led Bristol Rovers to a disappointing 13th place?
1999-0 League 1 - Bristol Rovers 17th - WRONG - finished 7th (disappointingly as they had been top at the beginning of April)
2000-1 League 1 - Bristol Rovers 5th (PO Semis) - WRONG - relieved of duties midway through the season, Rovers relegated come season's end, appointed QPR manager in February 01 but can't save them from relegation
2001-2 League 1 - QPR - Relegated - WRONG - midtable in Division 2
2002-3 League 2 - QPR - Mid-table - WRONG - playoff runners up to Cardiff City
If you're going to quote records and statistics as a basis for your argument Snowy, you kind of have to make sure the records and statistics you use are either correct, or indeed use the whole field available to you. I know for a fact, without even having to look it up, that the above statistics for Ian Holloway are wrong. I don't know how much this skews your statistics mate, it may not even make a difference to the general outcome, but for so long you've harped on about using statistics that represent the whole picture. Could at least practice what you preach fella...
