windermere_royal I remember Man U losing successive away game 5-0 at Newcastle then 6-3 at Southampton under Fergy, never recovered did they?

LOL at comparing Fergie with Adkins.

I am certainly not going to compare us to United, but the thing about that season was that United lost 5-0 at Newcastle, then 6-3 at Southampton, and 2-1 at Chelsea in the space of a fortnight. They also lost their 40 YEAR unbeaten home record in Europe in the week between Soton and Chelsea. They also went on to win the Premier League that season. I am not comparing them to us, what I am saying is that ridiculous results can happen but teams can recover from it.

I'm not turning into Snowball, just read this recently :http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/manchester-united/10388255/Flashback-Southampton-6-Manchester-United-3-Egil-Ostenstad-scores-hat-trick-as-United-humbled-at-The-Dell.html

Good day out. Considering me and my mate looked at each other and laughed after goal 5, I obviously am starting not to care as much.

Spot on. We laughed too.
Was a great day out. Clear roads up, decent showing of RFC supporters. Fantastic big 'old style' ground with good atmosphere, few Guinness', great view and loads of incident (on and off the pitch).
Left 5 mins early cos the car was in a shit place to park - back in front of the telly at 8:15.
If all you did was sit in front of the telly to watch FLS and watch us get thumped - of course you going to moan at Adkins et al - there's nothing else to discuss.
But there was much, much more to it all than that - yep 5-2 thrashing, so what, can't wait for the next away day.

Glad you enjoyed the ground, incidents off the pitch?

Bit of handbags at HT with the stewards. Watched it unfold with a pint. Was over pretty quickly.

Why did Antonio have to score?

Because like Jay Tabb - there were good odds on him scoring being ex RFC. But I know if I bet - he won't score.
As Descartes said : Therefore I don't bet - therefore he scores.

Because as we all know no matter how bang average or, in Antonio's case, God awful a player was for his old team he always has to score against them when he plays them with his new team.

Listen, a 5-2 scoreline is not good for anyone and I'm not hiding behind anything. It's unfortunate for the supporters who travelled up, there weren't many of our fans here but we appreciate all of them
Why even comment on the number of away fans there? What a dinlo that bloke is

Got to say that comment struck me as odd too. It had an element of criticism about it.

Someone said we took 900. I think that's pretty decent for an RFC away game up North.

Why did Antonio have to score?

Only 20 minutes more, and we'd have kept the hordes at bay (until half time).

He did not dig at the away following. Your wishing he did though. Like he gives a oxf*rd what the Brian bum brigade thinks anyway.

The 'Brian bum brigade' think he is a dross manager anyway, as proven when McDermott beat him to a league title. 8)

How many Championships has he won? ZERO. Brian has won it, and absolutely thumped him to it as well.
