I’m sure you said that last weekend

End of the month Houndy.
Getting a full months pay out of my employers. Going to need it as my pension funds are rapidly disappearing.

Anyway Barnsley are on the verge here.

Tbh without the points deductions they’d have been toast weeks ago. Desperately poor effort to only win 6 in a season. Fully deserved relegation

Some turnaround here. Barnsley play offs last season whilst Huddersfield finished 20th.

Think the Posh v Forest game will be a cracker with lots of goals. A draw is no good to either side.

Three weeks ago tomorrow we played Barnsley. Coming to the back end of that game they were 2 points behind us with a game in hand in the live table. Now it’s an 11 point gap from the same games played. We have had a very good few weeks.

It would be nice to win at Hull and confirm safety irrespective of what happens at London Road.

For us fans, yep. Hopefully the club go fill pelt on figuring out exactly what the squad looks like based on being in the Championship.

This is important given the new season will be starting earlier.
Hopefully we will have confirmation of Ince staying followed by some players committing their futures to the club. There is a huge amount of work to be done.

Credit to Paul Ince; Alex Rae and Gilksey who have done a great job keeping us up with probably 2 games to spare after the perilous position we were in 2-3 weeks ago. On paper we should not be in the bottom 3 but he's got the side playing. We've looked an ok side and I'd be happy if Ince keeps up the midtable form next season whilst we balance the books.

Surprised how poor Barnsley have been but agree that they deserve to drop. Delighted Derby have finally gone down though, they're a spiteful and cocky fanbase who think they have a god given right to be in the top flight. I have no sympathy for them for the mess they're in.

I can imagine once we've confirmed safety, hopefully today, talks with players will start to accelerate over the next couple of weeks as the season finishes. Confirming safety today would also be a good motivator for players to perform in the last couple of games to earn a new contract with us for next season as well.

Other than Swift, I can't think of many players that would move higher than where we are. Maybe Holmes and Laurent due to their previous interest with Forest.

I read somwhere that the club are preparing a new deal for Swift and there is a chance he might stay. Can't confirm if that's true but you never know. Is João one of the ones out of contract as well?

Not sure you fully understand. Players will not be playing to earn a new contract with us. The pressure is all on us to be able to persuade players to stay.
If anything they might be playing to earn a contract elsewhere.....
