Hendo Steve Bruce is going to stay at WBA

The fans already hate Gourlay

Was speaking with a Swansea fan on the bus back from the game on Monday and he said they were really bad when they played them earlier this year under Bruce.

Yeah I've seen online today their fans are in uproar that Bruce has apparently confirmed he'll be there next season LOL.

AthleticoSpizz We’ve been safe all season

Pauno would have kept us safe.

Not sure if serious. The players clearly weren't playing for him. We'd be dead and buried by now had he stayed!

I wasn't being serious. (Even though I kind of believe we would have "improved" under Pauno, not sure if we'd have been in the same situation we are now being well clear and all-but safe, but I still think we may have actually had a pretty decent chance of survival, owing to how bad Barnsley and Peterborough are and Derby's points deduction. It would have been much, much closer though.)

Mr Angry
I think I am right in saying that if either Barnsley or Posh fail to win the respective games across this weekend, then - and only then - are we safe; if I am incorrect in my working out and studying of the tables, please feel free to correct me..........................

maybe it's semantics, but I think this is not correct.

we need both of them to not win (disregarding our result). If one draws/loses and the other one wins, we still need points to be sure.

And that assumes that Peterboro do not overturn the 17 goal difference advantage we hold over them. They can draw tomorrow and we still need a further point to be 100% sure, even if Barnsley lose or draw.

Agent Gourlay doing fine work there then.

I imagine a Mr A.Carroll will be available again this summer.

Could do worse if we get an offer for Joao we can’t refuse

If either Barnsley or Peterboro win this weekend, a draw for us at Hull will not make us safe.

Mr Angry
Zip
NathStPaul We have been safe for a long time, pretty obvious really. You carry on having a panic though.

As I have already posted today I believe we will be mathematically safe tomorrow. I am factually correct in saying that we are not safe yet.

Isn't that down to what happens to Barnsley and Posh though?

I think I am right in saying that if either Barnsley or Posh fail to win the respective games across this weekend, then - and only then - are we safe; if I am incorrect in my working out and studying of the tables, please feel free to correct me..........................

We need a cumulative 3 points to be clear of Posh - so a win is enough or a draw for us and them. If they better our result it goes on to the following week. If the results are lose/draw, then either us drawing one of the last two, or Posh not winning is enough.

With Barnsley, the "target" is 2 points to finish ahead of them. So they only way they stay alive past tomorrow is by winning tonight or we fail to win tomorrow as soon as we win a game (or draw 2) or they fail to win, it is game over.

if you could choose one team to win this weekend and the other to lose out of Barnsley and Peterboro, which would it be?

I guess I would choose Peterboro to be the one to lose, as they have 4 points (one more game played) more than Barnsley, albeit with a disastrous gd. Difficult one.

Only need each of them to draw a game to be down (virtually in Peterborough`s case)

On another note Jobi McAnuff is such a classy pundit.

Great officiating. Could have easily have not seen the touch off the green Barnsley player. Nice to see a discussion between the 2 as well.

They have , as have Forest, been on a great run since our home game against them.
