Forbury Lion Would any of the older more established players be on appearance based wages? ie don't play them as it'll dent the wage budget.
Perhaps with Marek a transfer clause where £x amount is payable after X appearances? Sounds very like the John Salako contract.

dobcheck As much as i like Marek the signing of Howard and Rogers quote that "he can be the focal point of the team" makes me think that Marek's days could be numbered. Howard seems to be the player who will play in the hole behind the striker(s) which would seem to be the best position for Marek to play in our midfield.

I rather suspected that his ban would rule him out for that anyway. I realise indefinite could mean one or two, but I think the implication was more like many.
