Stranded
blythspartan I am probably wrong, but it almost feels like Rob has brokered a deal for Aliya to eventually takeover the club.

Is just what he did at Wycombe, brought someone with deeper pockets on board and eventually sold out to them.

Just seems to have brought them in almost immediately with us.

I suspect this is definitely Plan A. If things go well, Aliya buy out Couhig and Trosclair for a handsome amount in 5 years time.

WestYorksRoyal Melts on Twitter moaning about the likely 4- 5 years to establish ourselves in the Championship. What do they expect? SJM was all about strong foundations and building brick by brick. I'm more than happy to spend a few years in L1 if I'm position about the club's direction.

It is also 'established' in the Championship - i.e., a solid mid table club not at risk of relegation - not just get promoted. The twitter melts clearly not able to make that distinction.

Snowflake Royal Really good interview

Thanks

+1 ... sounds like the company I work for could do with someone like Couhig ... it's being run into the ground by an incompetent CEO.

Stability and progress, That's what I'm looking for and I imagine that's what the owners will settle for this season. If we make the playoffs or better we'll throw everything at it and be disappointed if we fail, but it that will still be a good season we can build on.

On the playing side, The thing that's messed us up he most is the inability/unwillingness to extend any contracts prior to the new owners taking over so players have left on a free who possibly may have remained or left for a fee, plus having to sell Simon Church on the run in and now with Wareham also departing we need to sign a replacement striker.

Presume you mean Samuel Smith? Simon Church was released in 2013

I would presume we'll primarily be focusing on the Smith replacement up front, and a backup striker to replace Wareham may be one of those TDD loans you see.

I wonder if the player RC had his prejac over was a striker. Maybe that's why they thought letting Wareham go wasn't an issue?

See Couhig has already lined up a Disney series aimed at younger supporters -

Two strikers, a centre back with pace and a left back needed. Strikers really are the priority though. So that's where any money the club has will be put first and foremost.
