sandman Note on Shane, according to Glen Little when Shane first arrived he couldn't even pass the ball 2 yards, even his team mates thought he wasn't going to make it and they like many of us are pleasantly surprised about how he has progressed. Perhaps you should tweet Blakey and abuse him for "spouting bullshit" about Long, I suspect that you don't have the stones to do so.
I recall Tredder posting as such on here, The two new Irish lads having less skill than your average Sunday League player... was proven wrong in that first season, particularly by Doyle but also Long.

Wasn't Long signed so Doyle could have company?

Long was signed because to quote Kevin Dillon "He had a leap like a salmon"

Anyone who can leap like a salmon is definitely going to become a great player. Look at Shane Long now. Matt Le Tissier was saying on TalkSport yesterday morning that it is between him and someone else for Southampton player of the season.

John Smith
mambo3 Vydra will be off in a few months months, we are not getting into the playoffs which is why we loaned in the
1st place so why are we not giving our young U21 players a chance and putting Vydra on the Bench

This guy has posted this in January after which he scored ONE GOAL. What possible detriment could there have been to recall Samuel/play anyone in the final dead rubbers of the season? Fingers need to be pointed here, without doubt and I think they need to go to a certain bald man in a tracksuit.

Royal_jimmy oxf*rd off Vydra you useless fool.

I will boo you every time you return to the mad stad

I think we need to make a point of this in the biggest way possible. Like a pants and beach ball day combined purely for Matej Vydra for whoever he returns for. I can't see him playing again in England after this. Absolutely disgusting return of investment and quite frankly someone needs to pay for it with their job.

Well Samuel's only scored two goals since January and even if we'd wanted to recall him he's been injured for the last month.

I'm confident next year's Player of the Season award will be between me and one of the Reading players.

Well, sadly for you, I can confirm that your name won't even appear in the voting.

Samuel didnt cost a 10th i reckon of what we paid for vydra and would have defineately put away half the goals Vydra missed. I thought Samuel played for Gillingham recently?

But it's still completely baseless nonsense to say he would've definitely buried the chances.
