Silver Fox Oh no! We've been knocked out of the Carling Cup! What a personal disaster!

Would have been nice to have had a cup run though! Oh for the days of Jimmy Quinn banging the goals in...

LOL @ people saying this game means fcuk all. We played what 4 or 5 players that people on here and McDermott too consider starters in the league. Charlton played a reserve eleven without their star striker (and player we decided not to sign) even being on the bench. It's not exactly promising is it.

Royalee Utter shit, get out Madejski.

"Yeah what has he ever done for us"?
"Well he saved us from going bust, then there's the new stadium......".
"But apart from that"?
"Well, Premier League football and 2 FA cup quarter finals for the first time in 60 years".

That has to be the most galling thing about this shambles, the fact that Charlton made 11 changes for this match and we couldn't even beat them, well done John making great efforts to ensure we dont get anywhere near that nasty premiership again, and he says he wants to sell the club what utter bollocks.

I can't believe he missed that one on one with Hamer! Did his wig slip into his eyes?

The LOLing on here at those irritated that our (partial) reserves lost to Charlton reserves ignores the fact that this highlights the (some might say obvious) fact that our strength in depth is precisely nil. Worrying.

Following on from this point. Take Kebe out of Reading's team......Screwed. The only person who can on his day cause havoc at Championship level. The rest of the side as an attacking force, extremely mediocre.

Following on from this, we're relying on a player who is very inconsistent and prone to comedic periods of woefulness.

Doesn't bode too well does it!

Nice to see as soon as Harte was taken off and replaced by Mills there was more zip going forward, the overlapping with HRK was a breath of fresh air.
Also thought that Morrison looked very composed and took his goal well
As for Howard he is becoming a big liability and i am sure that will be his last game for us.

People don't get it. We don't have enough players just to jettison the likes of Howard.

Just got back.

What a shambles - the most worrying thing is that the complete apathy and lack of enthusiasm at the top has made its way down to the team.
