windermereROYAL One off target shot in 90 minutes, even with 10 men that`s pretty pathetic.

Apart from the ten men, this post seems to have escaped from several of our match threads.

Stranded 1 point from 9 for Derby now & that was via an offside goal deep in injury time.

Only 5 shots on target too in those. Their momentum may be slowing.

They play again before we do, if they fail to win again then we could pull away.

If we can just win a couple...

Stranded Not a bad night all round, though would have taken Cardiff only drawing.

They were likely to pull away. It does keep us well clear of Barnsley.
Derby next at home to a Hull side that have hit form. If they don’t win that we have a real chance to pull clear of them.

We should have Ince, Hoilett and Halilovic for Brizzle plus Meite and TMac for Coventry. Finally we could have a bench full of options.

Reckon Meite and McIntyre will be on the bench for Bristol.

Really is all down to us to put a couple of results together now. Been done lots of favours

Plange got taken off at HT, probably tactical but a bonus if he`s injured, and they only had 6 subs, where was Kazim-Richards?

All we should need is one streaky run of results, which I actually think we're capable of

From the BBC, truly embarrassing, 16 (6) to 1 (0) 72%-28% possession. they couldn`t get further up Rooney`s arse if they tried.

Huddersfield scored twice in the final 15 minutes to deny dogged Derby a deserved point after the Rams were forced to play virtually the entire game with 10 men.

Compared to this from sky, they can`t both be right.

Two late goals handed Huddersfield a deserved 2-0 win against a Derby side who played for 87 minutes with 10 men.

Tactical re Plange. Bird and Kazim-Richards were injured. Stearman and and Morrison will be suspended re Hull.

One attempt at goal and a deserved point? I can’t see the BBC saying that about us if we had lost like that.
I really want Derby to go down. It’s getting unhealthy. If they don’t beat Hull we have a real chance to put a lot of daylight between us and them.

I really think 40 points will be enough to stay up.

Zip So seven points behind us from a game more plus Stearman will get a three match ban.
Cardiff are pulling clear. We need them to beat Peterborough now.

Was Stearman violent conduct ?
Only switched on after 5 minutes so missed it

Yep studs high.

How is studs high violent conduct? Violent conduct is lamping someone usually.

Sarcasm never really works on forums.

Just takes one result to get out of a tailspin and we now have a run of much more winnable games having played a lot of in form sides near the top of the table during Jan when we were arguably at the weakest we've been all season.

With returning players (be interesting to see who else plays at the weekend v Arsenal) and some distractions out of the way, the upcoming games could well see us pick up a few points and open up a gap. The hardest part will be getting that first win though - it has to come next week.

Neither Fulham nor Luton were on great form when we played them. Coventry are one place below Luton.

We've more frequently failed to push on from a win after a bad patch in the last year than we have gone on a good one. We're hugely inconsistent. So no, I don't think anything suggests the first win is the hardest part.

When you haven't won in over 2 months and are on a run of 5 league defeats, then getting the next win is the hardest part. It doesn't naturally follow that we will see another purple patch but unless you get that first win to attempt to turn the tide, you are screwed.

Feels like a pivotal week to me coming up - 10 days off between games and if, massive if, we can beat Bristol then we come into a home game with a close to sell out crowd on a bit of a high and that may help us out a bit. Lose again (or even draw) and Saturday could well be a millstone rather than a celebration esp if Coventry take an early lead.

Well spotted.

Once laughable and now tiresome; since the BBC moved much of its organisation to Manchester, they manage to adorn anything associated with Manchester (past or present) with an almost magical worthiness.

Not great that Cardiff managed to secure back-to-back wins but good to see that Derby lost.

Showing some optimism, teams like Cardiff and Hull have recently proved how pivotal just one win can be to a team's confidence when you've been on a bad run and I would back us to do something similar as well, the sooner the better.

The table currently looks like it's going to be 3 teams going down out of 4, but if we can beat Peterborolugh and pick up another results in the games against Bristol City and Coventry, it will suddenly look very bleak for the bottom 3. Obviously if it doesn't work out that way, the picture looks a lot worse for ourselves but I wouldn't put it past us to do that despite our current form.
