STAR Liaison
Kulshaw72RFC
DelBoyRodders Gourlay was sacked - he did not resign.
The decision was made last week.

How do you know

Data from Companies House states termination on 14 Nov. Only got the email on this after the announcement. Nevertheless, how does DelBoy know?
Maybe he resigned from his role at the club and the club immediately filled out the paperwork to terminate his directorship with companies house rather than leave it to Ron to fill out the paperwork and resign himself his directorship himself?

This is another bizarre obsession of the Reading supporters. Everyone appears to have a massive hard on for Steven Reid despite none of us actually knowing how involved or uninvolved he was at the club or what he actually did.

I'll see your Steven Reid and raise to Sal Bibbo.

Again nice bloke, met him a few times but he is a goalkeeper coach who happened to be here at a time we were a bit more successful. None of us have any knowledge of how instrumental he was but he is treated like this messiah figure.

Sure - but I felt a lot more re-assured defensively with the goalkeepers we had then than the ones we have now. Whether that was his influence I do not know but we have had some good goalkeepers over the years and I would not put the current ones anywhere near them in terms of quality and their ability to dominate their area and marshal a defence..

No, I'm standing by this one. He was a big success at Palace and turned their season round last year. He definitely adds something. My hard on shall remain.

Yes he’s doing so well he’s now helping out the coaches at Wimbledon.

He never seems to want to stick around anywhere though.

I don't believe the hype either.

He quit Palace for personal reasons and he's from Kingston so maybe he needs/wants to be nearer to his family?

Did he not quit us for personal reasons also?

Always seemed to have a chip in his shoulder.

Really? Alex McCarthy just got his first England cap. Nothing to do with Sal & his influence then?

Assistant Manager (or was it just coach?) at Palace is probably a bit more demanding than part time coach at Wimbledon.

Could quite easily be flexible working to keep his hand in and stay busy to help out a local team while dealing with personal issues his role at Palace wouldn't allow for.

Not that he's the messiah and should be desperately sought back here.

Obviously good news that Gourley has gone, but is anyone at all worried that our owners' other team in Belgium is also struggling at the foot of their table?
