Look on the bright side, at least we can now concentrate on the league.

Do You See?

Benson's smoking goal leaves Reading all but in the ashes

Silver Fox Oh no! We've been knocked out of the Carling Cup! What a personal disaster!

Chin up.

and that is why we could be realistic relegation candidates this season. personally i'm glad we're out of the competition. no disruptive mid-week games we don't need. we can concentrate on the league - getting enough points to secure our place in the championship, and then think/dream about pushing on from there.

What a load of shit that was. I'm starting to get seriously pissed off with Reading at the moment and I'm usually very positive.

I hope I'm wrong but this season is going to be a real struggle and I can't see us finishing higher than twelfth.

Well what a brilliant job that egotistical **** is doing for RFC!

Boy how our squad has improved from last season!

Shots on target: Charlton 13 Madejski's Bargains 7
Shots off target: Charlton 6 Madejski's Bargains 3

Forget the 'reserves' argument about tonight's game. There were far too many first teamers involved for that to stick.

Still at least we're breaking even! Oh, hang on a moment, the man who is so good with money can't (won't?) actually say whether that is the case!

Reading's forwards are utter cack, not sure there are a worse collection in the division. Struggling defensively as well, think the days of naming a 2nd XI and being competitive are long gone to be honest.

Seven reserve players in a meaningless game in front of 6,668. Really cannot be arsed to get worked up about that.

This happens when you don't invest or you keep your best players. The club goes backwards. If no new cb comes, will be saying hello to league 1.

Why stop there, it's patently obvious we're going to lose every game from now until the end of the season isn't it?

Saturday is critical because we'll have 2 weeks to dwell on the result.

Care to name those you claim are reserve players? Even if not in the starting 11 all of the time, they will usually be on the bench.

And how much of a first team did Charlton field?

Just like winning, losing can become a habit and it was one we needed to break tonight.

Completely changed 11. So even more of a change than us. No excuses.
