GetReading Jaap Stam will sit down with his whole squad to discuss their development and future plans ahead of the January transfer window.
Royals’ boss has opted to stick with a relatively unchanged team as the season has progressed - leaving several members of the squad struggling for game time.
And he has not ruled out the possibility of letting some move away from the club during the window to let them get some regular football.
Stam said: “Towards January I’m going sit down with all the players and talk about what I think about them, what they have done, whether they are improving or not and what we expect of them.
“And also what we will do in the months after January, whether we will use them - or whether they could go out on loan or not.
“I will speak to the players about what we want to do and what they want to do. That’s how we will work with everyone.”
One player whose future remains up in the air ahead of the transfer window is Jake Cooper.
The centre-back was a regular in the side last season under both Steve Clarke and Brian McDermott - but lost his place at the start of the current campaign.
Stam opted to play Joey van den Berg, a central midfielder, with Paul McShane in the opening weeks before Liam Moore was brought in to play with alongside the skipper.
Cooper had to make do with a place on the bench until a serious ankle injury saw him sidelined for three months.
He has now returned to fitness - although he was not among the substitutes on Saturday against Burton Albion - and the 21-year-old is now well behind McShane and Moore in the pecking order.
Let's hope there are also some contract talks with the relevant players.
