New captain?

Although I just said Pearce for VC, I don't actually think Pearce & Morrison are good enough players (yet) to be captains.

Obvious choices are Guthrie, Gunter, Williams & McCleary.

I voted for Williams, if he is with us next season. If we are heading into the post post-Coppell era we might as well embrace the new. And Williams willingness to play hurt, and play effectively while hurt, shows leadership. My concern is the amount of time he was injured this past season. I hope he isn't going to be the new "Jimmy Kebe" in that regard.

He was given the captaincy by Brendan Rodgers too early, learning a lot since those days and giving 100% game after game (all be it with a few f*ck ups)!!

Pearce has been much stronger than Morrison this season. Should be Pearce next to someone that can play it out from the back.

Pearce definitely has the club at heart but do think Williams would be a great captain. Seems to be a good reader of the game and therefore a natural choice. Morrison is decent enough but don't think he's experienced enough as has already been said on here

Pearce for maturity (compared to morrison), passion and genuine love for the club. Think its important captain can relate to the fans which he does.

I don't think Morro is good enough as a player or as a leader on the pitch. Although off the pitch he's a good guy and one that brings them together (I'm sure being around him day in day out I'd start to hate him, mind). But he effectively had it this season.

Dependent on new signings I can see it being Morro > Guthrie > Gunter > Jem > Pearce. I'd be okay with that.

The shout of Williams is a good one. Long as it didn't distract from his game.

My first instinct was to say whoever's left come the start of the season, but if I am looking at what we have then for me only Pearce is what you would say a born leader in the way he plays even if I am not his biggest fan..

Outside of that from the squad we have Williams or maybe Karacan..

If your looking for an interesting one then given when he gets in the mood he can be a real handful give it to Pog. It might galvanise him into the 'Incredible Pog'... Or should I say 'Pulk'!

Given the lack of leaders on the pitch this season, I would not be surprised to see Adkins bring in someone who he wants to lead the team... Too often did we lack bottle in games to grab it when it was going wrong and drive through to a win so a few experienced winners would help us and from the might come Das Kapitan!
