Harpers So Solid Crew So the manager has had difficulties with Roberts, Guthrie, pog, and possibly Shorey. If glad is to be correct it is the player with Prem experience that Brian is having trouble managing.
could that be why we did not sign Prem players in the window, Asian seems to be able to get something from lesser players, like Harte ledge gorks. But sadly not long term it appears

You are aware that Harte and Legs have played in the Prem right? I'd have thought it was pretty hard to have missed that myself.

@willow1871 @BBCBerkshire Poor tactics, decisions, man-management, team selection. Can't handle egos and the PL is full of them. One outcome!

Sad to say it but this summed the season up for me.

Some fans are also calling for McDermott to go and get someone in early for the summer preparation. We're not down yet but a long shot, but looking at those fixtures is only looks a matter of time. Three more wins in us? Perhaps bringing someone new in, with fresh ideas, a new approach to tactics, someone that can manage the players with an ego and not just drop them.

We knew we'd lose today. It's Villa that will destroy all hope for me! I can only see an away win as well.

We were decent?   He's proper lost it! I've lost all faith in him. Too much! Same BS every week. Oblivious to the real problems. Is he the right man to take us forward? I really don't think so. Sorry Brian. I've loved your gentleman style, but you are too soft to handle the big stage.

All now becomes clear. He is basing everything on the fact that 'we succeeded by doing things differently last year', completely ignoring the fact that the PL is so very, very, different!

“I just need to keep my head down and play to the best of my ability for the rest of the season.", said McCleary, before succumbing to a sudden ankle injury that is likely to keep him out for four weeks.

McCleary should be starting more in my opinion, personally I prefer him to McAnuff. This article coming out probably means he will continue on the bench as anyone criticising the manager mysteriously disappears from the starting line up...

TBH I thought we did play some decent stuff and genuinely worried Everton at the back. The main problem comes from the fact that McDermott simply doesn't know what the primary role of a central midfield is and we get crucified because of it.

Brian: "Last year we had to make up about 15 or 16 points. I just said to the players – ‘can we make up one or two?’. They all said yes." :|

Dear Brian,

Last year we had one of the strongest 6 squads in the division, some of the best players and a manager in good form overseeing effective football at that level. This year we have one of the weakest squads in the division, at best mediocre players and a manager out of his depth overseeing hopeless ineffective football at this level. Last year there was no pressure on us to perform and our players were in form and desperate to win a title. This season there's lots of pressure, our players are hopelessly out of form and have already achieved their aim of playing in the Premier League.

Blind hope isn't good enough.

Yours disappointedly

Probably more worried he'd find the tyres nicked from his car when he got out the ground.

Jelavic missing chance after chance probably didn't help his mood.

The journey is almost always more fun than when you actually get there. Apart from a few games, this season has been miserable. Based on these facts, right now I would genuinely prefer to just be back in the Championship battling for a place in the Premiership. I think we've got a good chance of winning it next season. Comfortably. And from there we can build for a stay in the Prem. Hopefully Brian won't be so fundamentally naive next time.
