Stuboo
ManchesterRoyals Stuboo can u tell me what positives u have seen and do u really think we can avoid relegation ?

All i want is for us to stay up but i cant see it were not good enough we cant even put more than 3 passes together

OK, as requested I'm going to try to tell you some positives:

* Pogbrebnyak is a clinical finisher when he is given chances - GOALS GALORE SO FAR
* Dead ball delivery is poor - this means we have a massive room for improvement here which will help - WHY IS THIS A POSITIVE?
* McDermott's a great man manager and knows how to get his team to bounce back with wins after losses - Lose against West Brom, lose against Swansea, lose against Liverpool - a pattern is emerging here.
* I think West Ham and Swansea are all arguably worse than us over a season - West Ham won 4-1 today, Swansea won 2-1. Clearly terrible sides.
* One win can change everything and set us on a winning spree - Will this come in March?

I hope that gives you some hope.

I like your thinking Stuboo but those points are not even worth debating about! Absolutely no substance in any of them.

I am still keeping the faith. As said already, if we can get one win under our belts we could have a good string of wins. We have a game in hand and a win could get us out of the relegation zone.

Pog will score if the chances are created, he can`t make the chances and score them can he?

Well, you really are a ray of sunshine, aren't you. You've twisted my comments in the most negative way possible and ignored the fact that because the have the talent and ability to do much more, we will get better! If you are determined to see the dark side in everything there's little hope of me converting you. Best wishes.

How can we take any positives out of that match? We lost.

You are going to absolutely love my response to this, because it comes from the mouth of Brendan Rogers. :D

"When you are winning you aren't doing everything right and when you are losing you aren't doing everything wrong." I.e. there are positives to take, even though we lost.

So where are those wins?

Or is the problem that we've had a few draws and he can't get them to raise their games above that?!

Me too, people said they were happy with the squad we had, but we are really lacking and it shows

Aren't you both heroes.

Stuboo
blueroyals Delusion. We were sh*t first half, average second half. Being average won't save us this season. Ineffective down the wings, a lethargic center forward and a passenger in center midfield. Jem could be out for a few weeks with what looks to be ligament damage meaning we're stuck with Leigertwood and Tabb/Guthrie.

Signs of hope?

No delusion. We are getting closer game by game and Brian is learning his best team. We could easilly have nicked a draw had we taken one of our chances.

Well he's proving to be a damn slow learner and, at present, it looks more like learning his least poor team. :(

Ideal
RoyalBlue Or is the problem that we've had a few draws and he can't get them to raise their games above that?!

Well, excuse me Sir, but we all knew the squad was nowhere near the required level before we even played our first game this season.
So I'd just like to point out the obvious, we were doomed even before we started.
He can't be expected to perform miracles with this lot, who overperformed last season, and are now way out of their depth.

Derby County better watch out!

I think you missed the sarcasm. And whose fault is it that he has been left with a squad that requires miracles?

If the money was available then it looks as though Brian was being mentored by Steve Coppell.

Without wishing to be branded an STG or being shouted down for not being a ray of sunshine. Stuboo, your positives to take from us at the moment do appear to just be

'Well, it can't get any worse can it?'

Haven't read, watched or listened to anything about the match but when I go to the BBC match report, it takes them 12 paragraphs to mentioned the word 'Reading'. :|
