Anfield Kopite

Anfield Kopite Sincere when i say i hope you stay up though.

Why?

Because i think you are a decent set of fans with a decent guy as manager. You dont play anti football like Pulis and his mob did against us a couple of weeks back. Im all for playing to your strengths but they crossed the line with absolute thuggery.

I thought Reading were in top spot, just ahead of Stoke in the anti-football league this season.

Is that meant to be to the tune of 'Candyman' from Willy Wonka? Lolz if so.

I may well get stick for saying this, but I liked the Liverpool fans when they came to the Madejski. They were up for some banter and didn't get all psychotically mad when they got some stick from our fans. Can't say the same for the fans from Aston Villa and Birmingham.

The Prisoner Is it me or has our season not really started yet?! Other than the variable footy we have offered it has been so stop-start because of the weather/Chelsea/international breaks - we have only played 6 times in what will be over two months by the time we face Liverpool.

Anyway. Liverpool: Former manager who we would love to beat......team in some degree of transition.....no home win this season.....

We know what is coming: Liverpool 3 Reading 1 (see Spurs at home)

agreed doesnt feel like it. still cant get into this premier league football - championship teams have played 10-11 games!

Royal Bahamas For the first time this Season, Reading will be the more settled team, with their top players all able to play, whereas Liverpool have lost important players, including striker and goalkeeper.
Reading are showing that they can score in the Premier League, though with the defence being our biggest problem, it will be Liverpool's loss of their striker that wll be most beneficial to us.
I also think that with BR being their, some of our older players will be keen to payback the Wembley result, with a WIN for us!

Liverpool 1 - Reading 3

Suarez - Pog, McAnuff, Kebe

i dont agree losing reina is a massive blow to them, but i cant see us win, heres hoping though
I just can't see us getting anything out of this one. Liverpool with or without a striker to partner the bleeting Diver or their poor home record or because "Stevie G" might be tired.

I think we'll hoof and hold our own for a while and then capitulate.

3-0 maybe 5-0.

Predicting the away support (myself included) will be less than good.
not surprised with their ridiculous prices, distance , etc

Ideal
Anfield Kopite Brendan aint that bad is he ?

Soon you'll come to realize he's very good at blowing his own trumpet, and not so good at getting the team to perform.
He had some of our lot fooled for quite some time too, so I figure this should happen some time after Christmas.

Many big words, but not so many good results.

spot on, he was crap for us as our team couldnt play that way, make 3 consecutive passes to own players, lol and in swansea he took over a team that had been playing a similar way for 10 years....that was down to martinez

TheSiege I think i will be 2-1 to us! We deserve some luck, Liverpool are not pulling up any trees and we have a good feel about this fixture given the last few cup meetings!

Wow! Go The Siege! A POSITIVE post.

The BBC have completely written us off. We're barely mentioned in the pre-match write up.

But, while he'll (The Pog) be key for the visitors, they lack anyone in the class of Gerrard and Suarez. Providing World Cup travel hasn't left them jaded, they'll have too much for Brian McDermott's men.

McDermott's record is much better than Rodgers,
even more impressive when you consider the
restraints McD has been under for most of his RFC career

Matches 142 W 69 48.60% D 38 26.70% L 35 24.60% McDermott
Matches 165 W 68 41.20% D 37 22.40% L 60 36.40% Rodgers
