Lost Wallet at the Spurs Match

by Y26 » 31 Dec 2007 13:48

I'm sorry to post this on the Team board, but I'm hoping that someone may read this and decide to do the decent thing...

Just before kick off on Saturday (Spurs game) I lost my wallet at the top of the stairs into the upper tier. It must have fallen out of my pocket as I ran up the stairs so as not to miss KO. I found my oyster card and a stamp at the top of the stairs, so I know thats where it happened.

It contains both season tickets for myself and my girlfriend (I look after hers so she doesn't lose it :? ) It also contains a credit card and debit card (which I have cancelled). It also contains some recent for some stuff I need to take back after Christmas, and without the receipts I'm not sure if the shop will accept them back.

Most of the contents in the wallet are useless to whoever found it (apart from the 40 pounds). So, if you are a member on hobnob and found my wallet, could you do the decent thing and return it to me...? Please...? It is Christmas and I am a fellow Reading fan afterall...

Please PM me...

Yours Hopefully....

ps sorry again for putting it on this board.

I'll give it back to you if you give me another £40.00

Seriously it wasn't me, i wasn't even at the game.

Please someone do the decent thing and show that Reading fans honest. Although in all honesty i wouldn't expect to see the £40 quid in there.

I suggest you contact the clubs and STAR as someone may have handed it in.

If it had your contact details in though I would have expected someone to give you a call, if only to ask for your chip and pin number.

Have you contacted Spurs? You never know, whoever found it may have handed it to a steward.

If one of our lot have taken it then they're a disgrace.

They're only a disgrace if they found it and read this thread then did nothing out of guilt. Otherwise they're just a fortunate opportunist.

If I found it at WHL I probably would not have handed it to a steward.

I'd hand it in to a policeman and made a note of his number.

Alternatively contacted STAR and left my details.

Maybe worth giving the ticket office a call tomorrow if its not found ? to get both season tickets blocked that are in the wallet and ask them to give the customer support bods the card numbers affected so if someone does try to use them might be able to get them questioned as to where they got the cards from might get ya £40 back and hopefully contents if not already handed in at WHL

Dont get your hopes up!
When we played Derby away on NYE a few years ago I left my bag behind. Reaslised as I left the ground but someone had taken it. Despite the fact that it only had 70p in it and a mobile phone bill, they still took it and dumped it by the Thames in Henley. This posh woman found it and I got it back with absolutely nothing taken from it.

The fact nothing was taken from it may suggest a drunken fan had decided to take it back to the Reading are on the assumption that Reading fans come from that area and hand it into someone more trustworthy than a Derbyshire steward or police officer, however being drunk they probably lost it on a park bench when throwing up.

Alternatively, they did a runner with it and didn't think to stop and check what they'd nicked until they got back home.
