The first half tackle on SWP was never a yellow card offence, if the tackle was on a Reading player then a yellow card never had been shown.

It should not even have been a yellow card. He put his foot in and up, stopped himself and brought his foot down onto the turf. I doubt any contact was made with Pizarro at all.

Best seen in the clip at 8:42.

Having said that I can see from the other angle why the ref might have thought it looked like a stamp.

I just remember watching it on the internet with no sound and thinking that the Chelsea player has been sent off for the shirt pulling. It is nice to know that I ma not biased!

Clattenberg is a very good official, actually seems to think about his decisions.

Its good to see the new Chelsea signing's have already been indoctrinated with the cheating mentality.

Can't believe we didn't appeal even if it was only a one game ban.

Every chance we have of standing up to the FA and abysmal refereeing we should take it.

People always moan about their team's players getting sent off , it's always "the ref was wrong" all i know is , sometimes we'll get favorable descisions sometimes we don't , but at the end of the season it all balances out... UNLESS you want EVERY tackle monitored on a video and the game stopped for every bit of contact so the ref can review it , then Shut Up !

I don't really care about the sending off decision, for Cisse was an utter liability all evening and it was only a matter of time that his poor judgement would have seen him get a second booking anyway. Curious decision to play a rookie (in terms of the blood and thunder Englsih Premier League) in such a rumbustuous fixture with an all-too-recent history for spilling over in nastiness.

The thing that gets me is how we were given advantage twice in the run up to his second yellow - had we been given one of the free kicks instead it might have been different.
