floyd__streete ....needs to be be broken this Sunday. Back in 95/96 we won our final away league match of the season 2-1 at Birmingham to round off a season which was a narrow escape from relegation.

Am I right in remembering that this win for us meant that Birmingham missed out on the Playoffs due to our win. It was probably why I got headbutted by some brum oxf*rd on the way out of the ground. Oh well, I did place a bet on us to win 2-1 and got £120 from the bookies.

parky Did we not win our last game last season

No, we drew at Sheffield Wednesday.

And my car cut out at 85mph on the M1 on the way back. Fortunately it kicked in again before my nobbing passengers woke up.
I went to that game on Redibus, the driver went to lock the back doors before we went into the stadium and the key snapped. He phoned the AA at 2:30 and we didn't get a locksmith arrive until 6:45. Its funny now but it wasn't at the time.

No, I don't believe so. The game was a mid-table borefest iirc.

1991 was a completely different story, though. Gilkes scored, Brummies on the pitch, and 500 Reading fans absolutely shitting themselves.

On the equivalent day in 1995 we travelled up to Tranmere to put in one of the club's best away performance ever.
On that same day Blackburn won the Premiership but lost at Liverpool.
Also on that day West Ham played Man Utd and stopped them from winning the Premiership and who is playing who this Sunday.
The irony is that the result could relegate West Ham this time.
So let us hope that our display is as good as that day at Tranmere when we go to Blackburn this Sunday.

floyd__streete a poor 3 losses and 1 draw on random inflatables ( http://hobnob.royals.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=60729 ) days!

Very nice plug there floyd.

Seriously Mr Coppell, this is our last proper game for 3 months so please play your 1st choice team. I'm also fed up with this last away day jinx, which floyd will remind anyone who cares to listen (you haven't got a choice anyway, you have to listen)
