Re: Hunts gone

Not sure about this.

Yes we're looking pretty poor and there doesn't appear to be an identity in how we play, but I'd have given him until the end of November to show some improvement. I didn't like the chanting yesterday it lacked class.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Doncaster Rovers (h)

So do I Thought Lane was excellent Trying to discredit or dismiss people’s criticism as lacking analysis is arrogant. Tell me where we are improving. Tactically how is Hunt changing the way we play? Which individuals during his tenure has Hunt improved? You calling me arrogant is so "pot calli...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Doncaster Rovers (h)

I didn't think were as awful as many seemed to think. The players are still giving it everything. We are generally creating more. We lacked the natural goal scorer we had in Marriott. I have no problems with Lane. Kyerewaa is 80% of the way towards being a good League 1 / Championship player. Calli...

Re: Hunt out.

I’m struggling to see how we’re getting any better. The style of play (such as there is) is wholly unsuited to the forwards we have. Constant long balls from the back to players either too small or not able to win in the air. When we do there’s no one to flick it on to. Hybrid possession football th...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Doncaster Rovers (h)

Couhig said Wareham and Craig left as they were told they wouldn’t get pitch time if that is true that's insane - did the club think they were bringing in a load of superstars during the summer? It's not that insane. Depending o the extent. Craig clearly wasn't going to be first choice. Either out ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Northampton Town (h)

Given how thick, partisan and unaware of the rules many football fans are, this is a laughable statement. Exactly. On several occasions I have had to explain the laws of the game and the guidelines issued to the referees to people around me who are articulating bemusement/outrage at a decision made...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Northampton Town (h)

Generally a better performance - certainly more tempo and intent. We absolutely needed the points. Williams and O'Connor looked strong at CB. We need them starting every week. Ehibhatiomhan took his goal well from a good cross from Lane, but still doesn't entirely convince in the role. It was way to...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Northampton Town (h)

The Cobblers have a few injury problems with Jack Vale, Jon Guthrie, Liam Shaw, Max Dache, Tom Eaves and Elliott List all expected to miss out though Lee Burge and Kyle Edwards could return. They’re apparently likely to line up so getting space in the key areas will be a problem for Reading. more l...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Northampton Town (h)

I was listening to R5 and they were talking about Rangers fans already saying they have doubts about the new manager because he isnt a name like Gerard (LOL). Then I switched on West Ham Brentford. And the WHU fans are pissed off like they always are. I lived right among them in East London early 9...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Northampton Town (h)

Couple of questions. Quite smug to say we're better than others Where in leon, Clyde or my posts do any of us say that? There's the line about a bit more class, but that's a different sentiment entirely. I would disagree with the statement "we're entitled to see Reading in the Championship&quo...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Northampton Town (h)

I think you can take the first bit for granted, as for the second bit, I'd say that happened within weeks of the season starting. We started so poorly that yes it probably did for some people. I know fans who weren't convinced last season. My point is that people aren't gleefully wanting him to fai...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Northampton Town (h)

I think anyone telling themselves its lose or gone for Hunt is going to be disappointed, assuming we lose, and I think we'll win. I can't see Couhig sacking him until the earliest after Doncaster, maybe Stevenage. And that's assuming we don’t win any of them. The vast majority of people on here jus...

Re: Relegation poll

you can say that again So 20 games is Luton - 20th December. When does patience become misguided? What happens if we are 15 games in and the teams above are getting away from us? I don't know what will happen - what I do know is that is we want to have a decent season we are leaving it very late. A...

Re: Relegation poll

We want to see better performances. Better performances don't count. It’s only one game. Cardiff were rubbish. We still lost. That’s not really what people are saying though is it? You can’t say we’ve turned a corner on one good display. Yes everyone inc me acknowledges we were a lot better - but t...

Re: Relegation poll

Pereira, Wing, Savage, Yiadom, Abrefa, Dorsett, Ehibhatiomhan have proved it here already. O'Connor, Lane, Marriott, Ritchie have proved it elsewhere. Open your eyes to more than just the current run of results. So you're saying that it's a coaching and managerial problem? Yet you're against a chan...
