Re: Hooliganism at Reading

In terms of libel, the article is at best misleading, at worst totally wrong. The club's aim for many years has been to promote itself as a family club, a pleasant place to watch football. So, I'd guess if that reputation was tarnished by something which isn't true, I'd say the club could sue. The d...

Re: Reading fan hit by seat - thrown by Reading fan

I'd wager a lot it would've been them that contacted the paper with their story.

I like the suggestion some of the brains on here are making that it was their fault for being at the game, rather than considering the real issue of some scumbag feeling it acceptable to start chucking chairs around.

Re: In praise of...Johnny Fordham

Surely a journalist has to report what they're told in good faith.

It's the club blatantly lying, not Jonny being taken in for being too nice.

I don't think he can say, "the club has told me they did train today, but I think they're lying" can he?

Re: was it harrys appointment that did for brian?

yes, Harry Redknapp's god-like managerial skills or the fact that he was able to spend enormous amounts of money on much better players than we've got.

The only impressive thing about it is that they're still bottom after spending as much as they have.

I remember Counago getting sent off for clobbering Adie Williams at our place and wasn't there a sending off for them in that game where Viveash lost it?

Re: Newcastle Game

Good clue, however, as I've stated it isn't actually on that list, hence why I asked the question.

I suggest you read the post properly before you put up smug replies.

I knew as soon as I posted I'd get one person prepared to help and a load of cocks trying to be clever.

Re: Newcastle Game

Well I didn't expect to get abuse for what was a short post due to the fact the fixtures isn't on the list to the left.

No big deal is it?

Re: Dullest match you've ever seen Reading play in

Two which spring to mind are a 1-1 against Stoke, It was freezing and we were sat in front of a right dick who thought he knew everything, and a 0-1 home defeat to Wimbledon where nothing happened apart from an up and coming youngster called McAnuff scoring. They had 11 fans there, I counted. I reca...

Re: FAO Jimmy Kebe

I always have a wry chuckle when I read stuff about Kebe. It seems some supporters genuinely believe we should have someone brilliantly outstanding playing there. The fact is, those wingers play for good teams, we are a team currently hoping for a lower midtable finish in the championship. We've got...

Re: kebe celebration

That was his best game for us for me, he was involved, busy and even made a few tackles. He's so skinny I wonder if it might be a genuine concern he might break his leg going in for tackles, which is why he's a little lacklustre at times. He took his goal pretty well by all accounts, nice touch away...
