Re: The generic transfer thread

Just read he's on bail for the charges. It seems a massive risk to sign a player who might be serving time regardless of the optics. I think with these particular charges, they should be kept private until a verdict is reached. Even then, if the accused is found innocent, it's going to be extremely ...

Re: The generic transfer thread

Sanguine Christ. A rival for Marseille. Villareal to sign Thomas Partey.

Has Partey been convicted of anything?

Re: LOLiverpooLOL - Next Season

Nunez to Al-Hilal agreed, pending personal terms, which shouldn't be a problem. Elliott to RB Leipzig a distinct possibility. Reading that if those two go through, Liverpool's net spend this window would be just £45m including if they signed Isak. Oh, to be a well-run club again! Fergie mad...

Sanguine

Is he English?

He is. Newham. Liverpool stole him from Chelsea last year.

Misread that as he's 17...assuming 'not yet' means 16+ and I'm in the clear :?

Re: LOLiverpooLOL - Next Season

Rio Ngumoha is the name. Not yet 17, he has been lighting up Liverpool's pre-season friendlies, including a brilliant solo goal against Bilbao yesterday. Looks the real deal. His touch as he runs with the ball here is astonishing. https://x.com/CBSSportsGolazo/status/1952401930916921481 Is he Engli...

Re: The generic transfer thread

Stranded If Liverpool end this summer with Isak, Ekitike and Wirtz then you can probably skip next season and give them the title now.

If they do get Isak then it is looking 'generational' however...

Utd won three on the spin, then bought van Nistelrooy and Veron...finished third!

Re: Womens euros 2025

Bit of a shame for the otherwise outstanding AKB that her error (if it can be called that when it was really a piece of brilliance by Bonmati) cost Germany last night but the general standard of goalkeeping in this tournament has been excellent. I predicted that would happen a few years ago, now I ...

Re: Womens euros 2025

Absolutely not dissing women's football, but one of the biggest differences I've noticed is that women don't seem to be able to clear the ball as effectively and as far as the men do. So that when a team is under pressure and wins possession they often fail to reach the half-way line, and freqently...

Re: Womens euros 2025

The quality of defending in women's football is woeful...goalkeeping is just a joke! The Wales' goalkeeper made a fantastic save v England last night; similar to the one the PSG keeper made to keep out Delap in the World Club Cup Final at almost exactly the same time.... It was decent enough, but t...
