Re: Paul Mullin

Couhig wants to promote Reading to a US audience. Maybe he wants to buy Paul Mullin the streaming star, and not Paul Mullin the footballer? If that's his objective, the best solution would sure by to sign up a true Royal to sit on our bench. Would have half the US signed up to Royals TV in the hope...

Re: Squad for 2025-2026

There have certainly been high-profile examples at other clubs - Grealish launching a new Villa kit just before moving to City to comes to mind.

Re: Next seasons kit choice?

Given that all of the launch photos on the OS are only of the new top, I wonder whether they've just put a new top on a mannequin with the old shorts and socks on them, and this isn't the final kit.

Re: Next seasons kit choice?

Not one for me (but the 7yo will probably still require all three kits). I reckon, had they had normal bold hoops, but had that pattern as a jacquard weave, it would have looked ace.

II preferred the mock-up with the paisley effect posted up above.

Re: Confimred - Paudie O’Connor

Greatwesternline I'm lost. Is Mbengue joining a new club?

The speculation has been that Mbengue will reject us in favour of somebody higher up the league. Ian is suggesting he won't make it through a medical, should he try to go down that route.

All of which is, of course, speculation...

Re: OFFISHAL CONFRIMATION of the CONFIMRED

It’s kinda strange there has been nothing official from the club about the new investment. Despite them announcing it on LinkedIn about a week or so ago. I would have thought there would have been some sort of statement Because it is subject to FL approval ? I guess that would depend on the basis o...

Yeah, I remember reading somewhere that most of the kids in an academy are only there to make up the numbers for the one or two kids who will actually make it.

Re: Ex Royals

Borussia Dortmunds Bynoe-Gittens (Born in Reading) and at Reading from 2013-18 has just had an offer from Chelsea for 42 million!! I believe Reading got him on a youth contract from Chelsea. Don't suppose anyone inserted a sell on clause by any chance   https://hobnob.royals.org/forum/...

don't believe what you see in the movies guys. a million pounds in £50 notes doesn't take up much room. its not inconceivable that there is a jar out there big enough to fit 90 mill in https://www.guinnessworldrecords.com/world-records/images/569059-largest-jar-terrarium-forest-in-a-jar-header.jpg ...

Re: OFFISHAL CONFRIMATION of the CONFIMRED

I've assumed the £90m is owed to another company within the Dogwood/Redwood Group and not to any third party (Dai or someone else). The amount could be repaid or not according to what's most advantageous to the owners. It’s owed to the owners. It won’t be repaid until it doesn’t take money out of t...

Re: OFFISHAL CONFRIMATION of the CONFIMRED

Yes.

You own a company. You put in your own money. You hope one day your company will make a profit. When it does, you take back the money you put in. If it never makes enough profit, you never take back your money.

skipper I'd love us to go and play Bath in Bath. Nice old school ground. Gives nice vibes. Great city etc.

Big plus one to that, used to love going to games at Twerton.

Re: OFFISHAL CONFRIMATION of the CONFIMRED

Looking at these figures I just cannot understand how any Investment firm would want to be in involved with us. Someone help it make sense. How is that £90million debt ever cleared? Or is that the point? They just kick that can into eternity? It’s not real debt, it’s a debt to themselves. Dai put i...
