Re: Hunts gone

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cx2l0m355k3o Dellor's take on things - has a real problem with the new owners and the last paragraph is childish. Bloomfield or Ainsworth analysis header. Followed by almost zero mention or analysis of either and a the sort of final paragraph you'd expe...

Re: The inevitable poll for the next Reading manager

Wellens is the best realistic option on the list. Would agree, but can't imagine we'll end up with a manager we'd have to pay compensation tbh. I don’t think we'd pay a lot. But we're no longer under Dai. Couhig is careful and wants to get things in check, but I think he'll pay where he needs to, w...

I don’t think it will be any of them.

Not keen on Bloomfield. Not interested in someone who'll jump ship immediately from a decent project just for more cash.

Re: Hunts gone

Well that sucks. Thought he had a little longer to turn it around. Such a positive, nice guy with a great history with us. Absolutely hamstrung by injuries to O'Connor and Williams and a couple of key signings proving to be not good enough in MOM and Burns. Hopefully we can move on positively and ge...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Doncaster Rovers (h)

Dunno he looked quite good vs Northampton By the same measure Danny K isn’t a player to keep on when you want a goal either based on 1 goal and 1 dodgy assist in almost 1000 league and cup minutes MOM basically had one good slide against Northampton that didn’t go in. He mostly looks mostly lost. K...

Re: Players

tidus_mi2 I think of our current players, only Pereira and Wing are Championship quality, some have shown flashes of that quality but don't think any of them are there yet.

And given we're in L1 we'd be mad to think we have a squad of Championship ready players

Re: MATCHWATCH : Doncaster Rovers (h)

Would agree with this very much We can’t just be relying on Marriott to score goals for any number of reasons - but the main one is we’re stuffed if he gets injured for any period of time I refer you to my answer the last time this sort of question was asked. It's about buying more time, not really...

Re: Players

Savage, Pereira, Abrefa, Ahmed, Dorsett, Lane and Garcia certainly all have the potential. Ritchie was playing there last year. Yiadom has been Championship quality and looks to have regained his fitness. Wing would probably fit in, weren't Champ clubs after him but he chose to stay here for his fam...

Re: Hunt out.

I just think of course our players aren't as good as Bindon, Mbengue, Knibbs, Smith and Azeez, who are all playing at a higher level for a reason. But do they match them for potential compared to 2 years ago? Obvious example - Lane is a similar age to Knibbs when we signed him, and already has a L1...

Re: Hunt out.

Has now lost the fans and the dressing room. Fraser is not injured but had a bust up with Hunt; as has Lane (but is still being selected). (source Huang Kad) Time to go - NOW That source being notorious wind up merchant Brogue. Lost the dressing room my arse. They were all buddy buddy with him afte...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Doncaster Rovers (h)

What was the point in bringing MOM on with only a few minutes to go? Really should of changed things up around the 70 min mark bringing MOM up top and push big Kelvin out wide right in his better position. At least it would give there defense something different to worry about. Would agree with thi...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Doncaster Rovers (h)

I didn't think were as awful as many seemed to think. The players are still giving it everything. We are generally creating more. We lacked the natural goal scorer we had in Marriott. I have no problems with Lane. Kyerewaa is 80% of the way towards being a good League 1 / Championship player. Calli...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Doncaster Rovers (h)

Noticed Cardiff also got totally outplayed by Bolton today on the stats I thought we were fine against Northampton if not inspiring but doesn’t sound good today. Only 2 academy players involved before the 90th min (and then one of the subs only due to injury) Danny K playing the whole game. Another...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Doncaster Rovers (h)

Well I said after Cardiff that 4 points from these two were the bare minimum for Hunt to stay in a job, and it appears we have achieved the bare minimum. Neither performance has matched Cardiff and built upon that. We were imperfect against Northampton but probably deserved a win, today we were a l...

Hound Paudie injured?

Seemed to walk off ok, hopefully a precaution.

Definitely looked better than Elliott going off.
