Re: MATCHWATCH : Huddersfield Town (h)

We do need another CF option on there certainly going forwards if not necessarily for Saturday

Ideally someone experienced

Cole would prob be ok, Aneke even. But I’m sure there are plenty of available players beyond them who are on the list of options

Re: MATCHWATCH : Huddersfield Town (h)

I think it’ll be Doyle in for Elliott. Elliott hasn’t had a lot of football in the last 6 months and this gives an opportunity to ease him back in a bit as well

Doyle, Lane, O Mahoney, Kelvin has the potential to be a very good front 4 I think. Then lots of options to change things up

Re: MATCHWATCH : Huddersfield Town (h)

Clarke showed great promise in the champ - was also a bit of a nutcase as well, throwing himself into everything . If he’d stayed fit I’m sure he’d have been first choice the last few years Just whether he can come back from the injuries he’s had Jacob looked good on the ball in the games I’ve seen....

Re: MATCHWATCH : Huddersfield Town (h)

Abrefa (and Elliott) were our best players against Lincoln. Some of Abrefa's distribution wasn't great, but he had a very decent game. Dorsett wasn't brilliant, and TBH Jacob's 15 minute cameo wasn't overly convincing. Very early, of course, but not sure our left-back issues have been fully resolve...

Re: Squad for 2025-2026

Maybe it’s in their plans to do just that and loan a few out. Still plenty of time to do so

Ahmed’s probably best hanging round here at his age but could benefit Osho, Okine Peters, Tuma (when fit), Sackey etc

But it's your favourite one! I know. He’ll never forgive me It's a bit hard to see how he even makes the matchday squad at this point. Yep. I know the Twitter crew love the dopamine hit of a new signing but realistically even now it’s going to be difficult to keep everyone happy. I don’t wan...

Re: Squad for 2025-2026

What’s first choice now I wonder - maybe JP Abrefa Burns O Connor Jacob Wing Savage Doyle Lane O Mahony Kelvin Stevens, Elliott, Stickland, Kyerewaa, Fraser, new CF?, Ritchie? In reserve: Ryan, Camara, Dorsett, Rushesha, Osho, Ahmed, Yiadom, Borgnis, Sackey, Tuma… It’s pretty strong. Just don’t pla...

Re: Squad for 2025-2026

Don’t see why we can’t play a mid field 3 of savage Elliott and wing. With lane and Doyle on the wings. It seems unlikely we'd go through all the palaver of re-signing Kelvin if he wasn’t going to be a serious first XI player. And Doyle is supposed to be more of a 10 than a winger. Crowbarring peop...

Re: Squad for 2025-2026

Absolutely should not put midfielders out on the wing to accommodate everyone

It’s great we have that depth. Elliott will play plenty but as yet I’ve not seen him do enough to be first 11 every week. Savage and Wing are better

Re: Confirmed - Kamari Doyle

I suspect some of the reason we’ve got the loans we have is with the parent club fully expecting the player to be first choice

I’d expect Burns, O Mahony and Doyle all to have some sort of guarantee of game time or else a likely recall

Re: Squad for 2025-2026

I’m not sure you get a pacy CB of any quality to come in and be 4th choice. I suspect O Connor and Burns are very much 1 and 2 with Stickland a capable back up. Dorsett, Yiadom, Jacob, maybe Fraser can back up if absolutely necessary and keep that other loan for emergency I’d take Ritchie just as ex...

Pretty sure Ritchie is FB nowadays

Dorsett can cover CB. I’d like to see him play a few games there and he is pretty quick

Re: MATCHWATCH : Lincoln City (a)

Given the personnel we have & evident vulnerability to balls over the top, I was wondering whether a change of shape might help..... A 3 - 5 - 2 maybe The spare man to shore up the lack of pace down the middle & a midfield with Wing a bit further forward... The wide players might help creat...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Lincoln City (a)

Nil goals again.... Woah, woah. Ian has done a Frimleyesque goalpost move here. His subsequent long posts may be accurate, but he replied to Ascot’s post above saying he was fine with it. There may well be positives out of this defeat, but we definitely need reinforcement up front, “ anyone” can se...
