Re: The inevitable poll for the next Reading manager

Pepe the Horseman Dunno if it's been mentioned, but JJ and Richardson played together at Accrington. So there's the link.

Makes sense

Re: Hunts gone

Pepe the Horseman
Brogue
Hound
Well we’ll soon find out won’t we. Anyone else you think might make a sudden recovery - Garcia?

Camara…

Had forgotten he even existed.

Yeah. He just disappeared after a half decent start to the season

Re: Hunts gone

As well as league position, I wonder how much the players were to do this? As yet only Wing (club captain) and Savage of the senior players have wished Hunt the best on social media. There have been rumours of a bust up involving Lane on Twitter for a few days, and he definitely mouthed off in the ...

Re: The inevitable poll for the next Reading manager

stealthpapes Long read on/from Leam Richardson.

https://learning.coachesvoice.com/cv/le ... -athletic/

WIll give it a bit before I comment fully, but do think it deserves a proper read.

Tbf it’s a decent read and can see why we might be interested in him

Re: The inevitable poll for the next Reading manager

Richardson certainly did well with Wigan. That Rotherham team he took on was diabolical iirc But not a name I was expecting. Seen some things saying he was pretty long ball - don’t think we’ve the players for that approach atm We're not suited to a direct, physical game. CBs will eat it up for brea...

Re: Hunts gone

I think the fact that several of the signings came from Noel's brother's stable has to be a clear sign Noel was working his contacts to bring players in and laid at his door for some of the failures, not just everyone else's. Brogue has been anti Couhig from before the takeover was complete because...

Re: Hunts gone

dellor has never done an interview with couhig. he will only talk to Lewis Coombes of bbc south today. He burnt his bridges slagging him off during the takeover saga. So really he has nothing to lose in slagging them off now. its actually quite refreshing for him to say it as it is. by that i mean ...

Re: The inevitable poll for the next Reading manager

SSN reporting Richardson as one of 3 names on the shortlist

That would be an odd choice

Re: The inevitable poll for the next Reading manager

Brogue can we just stop with bringing in managers with hardly any experience ffs. Bloomfield will be a disaster.

Who have you got in mind Brogue? Ainsworth, Mowbray, Colin?

Mid Sussex Royal https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cx2l0m355k3o

Dellor's take on things - has a real problem with the new owners and the last paragraph is childish.

Re: The inevitable poll for the next Reading manager

100% this. Going to be one of the shortest who will be new manager threads ever. Yeah Bloomfield today or tomorrow I reckon Start another poll then to assess the level of disappointment (though actually Bloomfield would be my 3rd choice after Wellens and Robbie despite the obvious nepotism). Bloomf...

Re: The inevitable poll for the next Reading manager

I'm sure it will be Bloomfield. Success at this level. Previous working relationship with RC and JJ. Available immediately. No compensation to pay. Expect the announcement before Wednesday. 100% this. Going to be one of the shortest who will be new manager threads ever. Yeah Bloomfield today or tom...

Re: Hunts gone

Wareham did a good job last year and was a big part of the second half of the season. Maybe not a starter but second striker maybe

Also a good lad who had a good rapport with the fans

Re: Hunts gone

Worth remembering that Hunt was very involved in the recruitment process throughout and the biggest failing - ie MoM as our lead striker - was a deal brokered by his brother as his agent Jacob also one of his clients I also suspect the decisions to not try particularly hard to keep Craig and particu...

Re: Hunts gone

Certainly didn’t like the chants and would have hated for it to have become widespread and persistent Absolutely can’t fault Hunts attitude or work ethic. Everyone wanted him to do well but it’s just not been working Last year we had a really tight knit small squad, many through the academy - and I ...

Re: The inevitable poll for the next Reading manager

Challinor has done a superb job at Stockport. Wellens would be a very good shout I think - but not sure either would come

I’d be happy with Bloomfield. As long as him and JJ are reading from the same page, I’m not sure JJ and Hunt were.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Northampton Town (h)

Nope - I think he came over to give Noel the bad news tbh. The Cardiff and Northampton games just delayed things for a short time
