Re: Hunts gone

Wareham did a good job last year and was a big part of the second half of the season. Maybe not a starter but second striker maybe

Also a good lad who had a good rapport with the fans

Re: Hunts gone

Worth remembering that Hunt was very involved in the recruitment process throughout and the biggest failing - ie MoM as our lead striker - was a deal brokered by his brother as his agent Jacob also one of his clients I also suspect the decisions to not try particularly hard to keep Craig and particu...

Re: Hunts gone

Certainly didn’t like the chants and would have hated for it to have become widespread and persistent Absolutely can’t fault Hunts attitude or work ethic. Everyone wanted him to do well but it’s just not been working Last year we had a really tight knit small squad, many through the academy - and I ...

Re: The inevitable poll for the next Reading manager

Challinor has done a superb job at Stockport. Wellens would be a very good shout I think - but not sure either would come

I’d be happy with Bloomfield. As long as him and JJ are reading from the same page, I’m not sure JJ and Hunt were.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Northampton Town (h)

Nope - I think he came over to give Noel the bad news tbh. The Cardiff and Northampton games just delayed things for a short time

Re: Hunts gone

I never want to see a manager sacked, especially one with such strong links to the club and he is a decent coach, but it's not even just the results, I don't see the team having any identity, which is baffling. Everything has felt so flat this season. The players don't seem to have the hunger and s...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Doncaster Rovers (h)

I refer you to my answer the last time this sort of question was asked. It's about buying more time, not really who comes on. MOM isn't a player to bring on with 20 minutes to get you a goal. He's a total blank. Dunno he looked quite good vs Northampton By the same measure Danny K isn’t a player to...

Delboy Which of the current squad would be ok in the championship?

Savage. Garcia and Ahmed in time maybe. Pretty much it.

Re: Players

Savage, Pereira, Abrefa, Ahmed, Dorsett, Lane and Garcia certainly all have the potential. Ritchie was playing there last year. Yiadom has been Championship quality and looks to have regained his fitness. Wing would probably fit in, weren't Champ clubs after him but he chose to stay here for his fa...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Doncaster Rovers (h)

What was the point in bringing MOM on with only a few minutes to go? Really should of changed things up around the 70 min mark bringing MOM up top and push big Kelvin out wide right in his better position. At least it would give there defense something different to worry about. Would agree with thi...

Re: Hunt out.

Based on this season, i wouldn’t be at all suprised if Couhig downgrades the academy. It’s not paying its way at all The only academy players who featured at all yesterday came through years ago - under Ince iirc, Dorsett maybe before Ahmed and Garcia won’t play much under Hunt going forwards I doub...

Re: Hunt out.

Whenever Kelvin plays CF we seem to believe we have a big target man rather than an out of position winger playing CF

Mind you we’re not much better when we have the 5ft7 Marriott up there

Re: MATCHWATCH : Doncaster Rovers (h)

Freezing cold wind added to the flat atmosphere in the ground which is becoming the norm with the low crowds we’re attracting now at home Can’t fault the effort of most of the players with Paddy Lane working his socks off a great example, but, I’m afraid that’s about as good a team as we are. We ha...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Doncaster Rovers (h)

I believe that Savage, Kyerewaa and Jacob are 1 booking away from a suspension- 5 games to go before the cut-off match. Hopefully we’ll get a card happy ref in the next game then You`re very cynical houndy, that`s not like you at all. I’m joking, I should have put a little wink thing in I like Sava...

Re: Is it time the RFC ended Club1871

1871 definitely worked at first. I think it added significantly

I think at times over the last couple of years it’s done its job as well but it’s been rubbish this season. No atmosphere at all

Suspect it’s largely due to what’s happening on the pitch though
