Re: Home ticket changes

One thing I can't work out is why this great new system doesn't extend to loading FA Cup games to a season ticket card. A friend of mine wanted to buy a ticket for the Carlisle cup tie, but was told his only options are to download an app (which he doesn't want to do) or print at home (which he can...

Re: The inevitable poll for the next Reading manager

If we end up appointing Matt Bloomfield I’d question the point of sacking Noel. This. When he was sacked as Luton manager, their fans were basically saying the same things as a lot of our fans were saying about Hunt - too inexperienced; tactically naive; poor squad selections; poor performances; et...

Re: Hunts gone

Nice guy, was always ambivalent about it but probably right. Who’s up next for the hot seat My money is on Matt. Bloomfield ex Wycombe player and manager, he took them to the Championship if I remember correctly. I think he is out of work having left/sacked by Luton Town this month. Couhig and Jaco...

Re: Hunts gone

A little bit surprised. It leaves a slightly unpleasant taste. Couhig's statement is pretty dignified. The club is always bigger than any one manager, player, or indeed, owner. I guess two weeks until the next significant fixture means this is a good time to do it. BIB - this. Definitely surprised ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Doncaster Rovers (h)

Freezing cold wind added to the flat atmosphere in the ground which is becoming the norm with the low crowds we’re attracting now at home Can’t fault the effort of most of the players with Paddy Lane working his socks off a great example, but, I’m afraid that’s about as good a team as we are. We ha...

AthleticoSpizz “Drawn to Success”

Old enough to have sported the HNA tee-shirt ‘back in the day’…we scraped promotion based on draws iirc.

2002 was it?

We had a few draws in the run in that season. Won our fair share of games up to that point allowing us that luxury.

Re: Hunt out.

How can you say Burns is ahead of where Bindon was 2 years ago? You say he looks a liability in the team, Bindon was never that and looked class from day one. He was out of position at RB and looked unconvincing. Even at CB, he got dominated by Rhodes at Blackpool and had a costly poor game at home...

Re: Hunt out.

He was out of position at RB and looked unconvincing. Even at CB, he got dominated by Rhodes at Blackpool and had a costly poor game at home to Barnsley. He learned quickly and it became clear pretty quickly he was destined for a higher level. But there were bumps in the road. Maybe so, he started ...

Re: Hunt out.

I just think of course our players aren't as good as Bindon, Mbengue, Knibbs, Smith and Azeez, who are all playing at a higher level for a reason. But do they match them for potential compared to 2 years ago? Obvious example - Lane is a similar age to Knibbs when we signed him, and already has a L1...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Northampton Town (h)

Mr Angry There is no way we would have had pages and pages of an after game forum discussing the minutia of the ref's performance if she wasn't female!

I was thinking that.
Players tend to give a woman ref more respect than they would a man, hence less back chat and arguing etc.

Re: Injury watch 2025/26

Beat a woefully out of form Doncaster, then hopefully Pereira, Marriot and Ritchie back for Stevenage to help kick start a good run up to Christmas. Camara and Garcia useful players, but not first pick and don't particularly weaken us. A shame they're not available for Carlisle in the FA Cup. Exact...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Northampton Town (h)

You don't get three separate "you don't know what you're doing" chants if you had a good game. Given how thick, partisan and unaware of the rules many football fans are, this is a laughable statement. Exactly. On several occasions I have had to explain the laws of the game and the guideli...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Northampton Town (h)

It’s not like it’s translated to the crowds at the games though as far as I can see. I didn’t go to Swindon but hear there was some there. Otherwise I’ve barely heard a boo or negative chanting at any game I’ve been to this year If they read what C Scott and his muppet mates say on Twitter then mor...

Re: FA Cup 2025-26

I don't really understand the moaning about the ticket prices. These games run at a huge loss for the club. The gate receipts also have to be split between the away team and the FA, and add to that as the home team the club have to foot the bill for Carlisle's overnight stay. Yeah, I mean we all kn...

Re: Injury watch 2025/26

These long-term injuries are getting ridiculous. What's changed between last season and this? If anything you'd expect us to suffer less this season as we have more strength in depth in the squad, enabling more rotation and placing lower demands physically on the players. If I was JJ/RC I would be ...

Re: FA Cup 2025-26

Is this fixture now definitely confirmed for 15.00 on the 1st, and when do you think they will have the tickets for sale (my daughter is over here from Australia at that time and I'm planning out her activity). TV Fixtures haven't been picked yet but there's no way they're picking our game. The TV ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Exeter City (a)

If Yfeko was the player targeted he should have been applauded as without his dreadful error we would probably have lost the game. Unfortunately when the performances are as dull as ours have been the story becomes about something else such as chanting or the referee being blamed or my personal fav...

genuine hearty LOL about 'anti Starmer' chants. get. a. f u cking. grip. I was just using it as an example because when the warning was read out some of them started the Starmer chant.
