Liked Knibbs but honestly I think we did the right thing to sell and get a reasonable fee.

Would have preferred Josh Bowler but he's a solid player. Scored past us at Fratton Park 18 months back. Definitely an option from scoring from outside the box alongside Savage and Wing.

Our targets knowing we have money incoming will probably play tougher on wages now.

If we sell Knibbs but make the signings of Cole, Bowler and Doyle then fans moaning will quieten down.

If we don't sign anyone and we lose a couple of the first 3 games then Todd and Rob will get criticism after it being obvious we're light up front and creatively.

I think the new owners are right not to offer stupid wages and to try to run the club sustainably and I am still hopeful that Hunt will be able to fashion a competitive side during the next few weeks. However, we have lost most of our best players ex Wing and Pereira and so any thought of promotion...

Based on the squad now that League One website having us down finishing in 17th looks reasonable....the replacements for Bindon, Mbengue & Knibbs aren't anywhere near the same standard, and off the back of losing Smith in January. Agreed, our squad looks weak and 17th would be an abysmal season.

Fee could be used to (finally) sign Bowler and Cole, plus we could get a loan replacement too. Well if we want to sign those guys we need to increase the wages we've offered to them
