Re: Biggest Managerial Appointment In Our History?

I'm not overlley impressed but i'll give the man a go. He hasn't got an impressive cv and he has no Ricky Lambert to rely on. I hope he spends the transfer funds wisely. Only time will tell if he walks as well as he talks. Lambert was not even consistently in the team when they graced the prem this...

Re: Next Reading Manager: Press Conference @ 9:15

I am pretty sure he knew his departure was pretty much on the cards. His odd reaction after the Coventry game on the last day of the season spoke volumes. Care to elaborate? He talked of an eventual “parting of the ways” and said, “I just hope it’s handled in the right way”. It seemed a decidedly s...

Re: Next Reading Manager: Press Conference @ 9:15

Give him a chance. He'll do OK for you. He's a good organiserand motivator and brings more positives than negatives to a club. I wouldn't read too much into the speculation as to the circumstances of his departure from us or view that as a negative. He did superbly for us for over two seasons. I am ...

Re: Next Reading Manager: Press Conference @ 9:15

TBM Adkins managed to get Gaston Ramirez for Southampton - so his targets are at least better than looking at League One

Got a feeling this was more down to Cortese and his Italian links than NA's pulling power as a manager.

Re: Next Reading Manager

Taking my balanced view hat off, maybe this could be payback for Branfoot.

Re: Next Reading Manager

Interesting reactions I must say. What you'll get is a manager who cannot lose. If he keeps you up, which may now be unlikely, he will be a hero. If you drop back to the Championship you have a manager with a proven track record of promotion. Why did we get rid? Who knows. Maybe Cortese did indeed w...

Re: Congratulations Southampton

Been a good season for both clubs. Never thought three year's ago we'd be where we are today. Tough challenges await both of us next season, but it is great to have two clubs from the south in the top flight. Enjoy your celebrations tomorrow. Hope it doesn't screw the traffic up too much, some of u...

Re: The Post Playoff Fire sale

Fedders, gone. Long, gone. Kebe, gone Next year = Relegation scrap. No quality, no chance. This was the season to get out. The next will be far more difficult. I reckon Brum will bounce straight back, WHU will go either way depending on their finances and who is in charge. You are obviously going t...
