Re: The inevitable poll for the next Reading manager

Doesn’t seem to be in a job at the moment since being sacked by Ghana last year but don’t think we’d be an attractive prospect for him. All his managerial experience is in the top two divisions.

Re: The inevitable poll for the next Reading manager

I think Bloomfield didn’t endear himself to Coughig in the way he quickly left for Luton after being entrusted with the manager position (reminiscent of Pardew and West Ham) so feels unlikely that they’d bring him here.

Re: Hunts gone

Feel very saddened by this; so wanted it to work for Noel but think it’s probably the right decision, or rather that the owners had to take action at this point.

Open training session tomorrow could be a bit awks.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Doncaster Rovers (h)

Frustrating performance, we did some good things but our final ball was generally terrible and we desperately missed the energy and nous of Marriott as the focal point up front. Big Kelvin is just not a central striker and is only ever effective cutting in from out wide. On the fence with Hunt now, ...

Game was briefly paused because of discriminatory chanting, unclear who from.

Wareham very close to a second - need to work harder to stop the cross coming in.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Mansfield Town (h)

Mansfield had some decent chances beyond their goal and the goal ruled offside looked very tight - albeit I was down the other end of the stadium. We weren’t great today, so many individual errors, but I wonder how much the very strong wind impacted us. We seemed to be playing more passes on the gro...

Re: Hunt out.

Gareth Ainsworth has Gillingham (joint) top of L2 and unbeaten in eight games, doubt the football is pretty but the ownership know him and would no doubt see him as a low risk alternative.

RG30 Did Hunt say post game why he was subbed off?

He went down with cramp just before getting hooked - don’t think he’s quite match fit yet.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Port Vale (h)

Poor first half but improved in the second half and just about deserved the three points, though Vale offered very little going forward. I think we have to be a bit patient as the team are still working each other out - players today were not reading each other’s passes but that will come with time;...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Port Vale (h)

We look very flat, Kyerewaa has made some good runs but no end product. Need to get Wing on the ball more in the second half.

Re: BFTG Wycombe

Decent performance overall, Elliot was the key player for us - though a few times he kept dribbling when an earlier pass might have created a shooting opportunity. Always felt that at 2-1 we needed a third goal to see the game out, thought Wing had it with a long range effort and MoM unlucky to hit ...
