Re: Next seasons kit choice?

rabidbee Given that all of the launch photos on the OS are only of the new top, I wonder whether they've just put a new top on a mannequin with the old shorts and socks on them, and this isn't the final kit.

and, in fact, the shorts and the socks have the same pattern on them?

Re: Ex Royals

It's a big challenge, but presuming he gets a bit of financial backing and they're looking to build a project then it could propel him on to something even bigger. I don't get the impression Sheff U are particularly trigger happy when replacing managers so it could work out well for him. I certainl...

Re: Rumour- Chem Campbell permanent

blythspartan A good pal associated with the Wolves academy said Chem never 100% recovered from his injury last season and that affected his performances.

Interesting - so that would explain the decline in performance - any news on whether he is now completely over he injury?

Re: Rumour - Ronan Hale (striker)

Ronan Hale has become hot property after a superb first season at Ross County with a host of clubs in England and Scotland showing interest in signing him. The Belfast Telegraph understands that League One sides Wigan Athletic, Luton Town and Port Vale are keen on the striker while he is also a tar...

Would be a big miss but we have Elliot returning to fitness and if it allows us to play Craig in his natural DM position i wouldn't be to worried. Would leave us Elliot, Wing, Craig and Knibbs in the Middle with U23s as back up. All good, buuuut we really don't want ro be losing him. I'd rather hav...

Snowflake Royal Great news. One of the two main key players to resign.

A prime example of when a hyphen should be used

Yes - although the trend these days is to remove hyphens which makes no sense when you have confusion between resign and re-sign

Re: Joel Pereira

Championship has way more eyes on it than L1, which has very few eyes on it. If you believe you can put in good performances at a basket case Championship club then your chances of moving somewhere better are much greater than if you play in L1. Also only takes 1 good season in the Champ to realise...

Re: G’arn then, somebodies got to….In Praise of Dai Yoonge

Was it him that got the club badge on a formula 1 car? That was pretty cool. No, that was the Russian Marussia team and it was under the stewardship of Anton Zingaravich, arguably a worse owner than Dai Yongge but perhaps better advised with regards to transfers etc. I think AZ would definitely hav...

tidus_mi2 I'm not getting carried away but anything less than 138pts next season should be seen as a failure.

Very conservative - I think we should aim for more than that

Re: OFFISHAL CONFRIMATION of the CONFIMRED

IIRC Couhig detailed that in R4E's interview. Yeah, he said that Jacobson was basically going to be the face of the club when he was out of the country, specifically referencing some legal work he was committed to undertaking over the next few weeks. Obviously Jacobson was club captain (and possibl...

Re: Who do you want in the first home and away games?

Two ways to look at the opening home game - you either want an "easy" game to hopefully get a decent win on the board - so L2 play-off winners probably the best shout there or you want a game you can really put down a marker in if you win. So Wimbledon or Plymouth for me. First away game ...

JedMaxwell He could be one to watch next season. Perhaps will be introduced into the first team via the LDV trophy and be a solid u-23 option. I was very impressed the few times I saw him this past season.

Re: Early expectations for next season

I guess expectations is a spectrum. I think we should be capable of top 6, but if we're top half and playing encouraging football which suggests we can improve next year, Hunt's not under any real pressure in my view. If we're bottom half playing dreary football then he needs to start worrying for ...
