Re: Home ticket changes

tmesis One thing I can't work out is why this great new system doesn't extend to loading FA Cup games to a season ticket card.

.

I too was surprised that I wasn't able to do that. Does that mean they're looking to phase out the cards too?

Re: Hunts gone

Brogue No way was he going to stay on in a different capacity. Now he’s had a taste of management he will want to continue that.

I don't know where he will be offered that. Hopefully a club will see the value that he can add to their academy/development programme.

Re: The inevitable poll for the next Reading manager

Oh dear, I hope the owners don't get people's names mixed up too,

We could end up with Charlie rather than Robbie Savage!

Re: MATCHWATCH : Doncaster Rovers (h)

Freezing cold wind added to the flat atmosphere in the ground which is becoming the norm with the low crowds we’re attracting now at home Can’t fault the effort of most of the players with Paddy Lane working his socks off a great example, but, I’m afraid that’s about as good a team as we are. We ha...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Doncaster Rovers (h)

I didn't think were as awful as many seemed to think. The players are still giving it everything. We are generally creating more. We lacked the natural goal scorer we had in Marriott. I have no problems with Lane. Kyerewaa is 80% of the way towards being a good League 1 / Championship player. Calli...

Re: Is it time the RFC ended Club1871

Aims of Club 1871: Club 1871 are a Reading FC fan group who have formed to try and create a loud, positive atmosphere at the Madejski Stadium throughout the 90 minutes. Their aim is: 'To add another focus to improve the atmosphere and get fully behind the team, by using both old and new Reading cha...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Doncaster Rovers (h)

Oh no, not Kyeweera. He was terrible on Tues and hasn’t been much good all season. He isn’t even that quick or exciting. If we’re keeping Kelv as a 9 (don’t mind that) then I think I’d rather shove Doyle RW or promote JOP or something JOP  You really don't like him, do you. I'd put Abrefa, A...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Northampton Town (h)

You don't get three separate "you don't know what you're doing" chants if you had a good game. Given how thick, partisan and unaware of the rules many football fans are, this is a laughable statement. Exactly. On several occasions I have had to explain the laws of the game and the guideli...

Re: Poll: Should Noel Hunt be sacked?

To misquote Brendan, “if you’re given the keys to a Honda Civic you can’t expect it to drive like a Ferrari!” RC has bought one solid striking option to replace 80% of the goals from last season. We needed more than just Marriott and we needed him sooner than we got him. The team looks like it’s im...

RG30 Felt like the Fanzone could have done with some more lighting yesterday.

I was thinking the same thing as I walked through it last night.

windermereROYAL Lady referee, she was one of the better ones we had last season.

Abigail Byrne

Yes, whenever I've seen her referee games she has done pretty well.

I hope I haven't just jinxed it and her!

Re: MATCHWATCH : Northampton Town (h)

I think anyone telling themselves its lose or gone for Hunt is going to be disappointed, assuming we lose, and I think we'll win. I can't see Couhig sacking him until the earliest after Doncaster, maybe Stevenage. And that's assuming we don’t win any of them. The vast majority of people on here jus...

Re: Poll: Should Noel Hunt be sacked?

A club that barely existed a few months ago and the fans are desperate to get rid of a guy who’s given his all for this club for many years. No wonder football’s in such a state. SMH. Given his all = totally irrelevant Sleepwalking towards relegation with a charlatan = totally relevant Would prefer...

Re: Injury watch 2025/26

A rib injury in training....what the hell do they do?? Got it against Exeter in the 2nd half, had treatment for it. 3/4 weeks means it`ll probably be after Christmas when we see him again. Before the game it was supposed to be a hip injury in training prior to Exeter, exacerbated during the game. Y...

Re: Injury watch 2025/26

I wonder if the larger squad means injuries players could theoretically play through are being treated as something that stops them from playing this season, but wouldn't have done last season. I'd agree there should be less injuries this year, as you could better manage the squad with increased ro...

Re: Poll: Should Noel Hunt be sacked?

It will be total folly to sack Hunt after that performance today. A manager cannot legislate for missed opportunities; the last few games have been decided by them. We could easily have got seven more points right now from the last three games. We couldn't've said that earlier in the season. There'...

Re: Injury watch 2025/26

Royals and Racers Pereira has rib injury and is out for 3/4 weeks

When it comes to Reading FC, 'weeks' appear to be a bit like cat and dog years. 3-4 weeks being considerably longer than that!

Re: Injury watch 2025/26

On the other hand, the squad is a lot older this year. And we have retained players with poor injury records (Abrefa, Yiadom, Dorsett, Elliott, Camara, Ryan) whilst players with better ones have left (Craig, Knibbs, Bindon). We no longer have a manager with a sports science background. And were tra...
