Re: Confirmed - Kamari Doyle

Was Kamari Doyle the 'contingency plan', should Knibbs leave, that JJ referred to at The Purple Turtle?

Linden Jones' Tash
Brogue Brian Howard has helped get this one over the line..

'Helped' as in 'brokered the deal in exchange for an agent's fee payment.....?

To be fair, like Stephen Hunt, he does appear to have a soft spot for and speak highly of us. He's good when he's on BBCRB as a pundit too.

Re: Reading FC Womens World

Jackson Corner Why are Reading playing at Slough? Most teams in this league play on public parks. Where anyone can watch.

Playing in a 'proper' stadium is likely to be a selling point when trying to recruit decent new players.

Re: New betting partner

IMO, even if we are desperate for money, this is not a good move and look for what professes to be a family club. Gambling ruins far too many lives. Should the club stop serving alcohol as well then? That ruins lives too. Not really comparing like with like. Unless I'm mistaken, clubs don't promote...

Re: New Owners - Redwood Watch

Might he be this guy? That's him Bit more than just a freelancing newspaper hack then, would suggest he could actually get some decent attention stateside. Yep, JJ introduced me to Josh at the Bearwood Open Day as I know someone in the football (soccer) media stateside who is a lifelong Royals fan ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Lincoln City (a)

Just seen that it`s been 40 years since the last time we won at Lincoln, 1-0, Trev scored and it was one of the 13 game winning spell at the start of the season, I was there. Obviously we probably haven`t played them much in that time. Wow was it that long ago?! I was there too. Wasn't it win numbe...

Re: New betting partner

It brings in revenue and is par for the course now. What a world we live in now with football that a club has an official betting partner Indeed. The game is happy to take that industry's money but quick to jump on anyone associated with a club who gets drawn into its clutches. Makes me wonder wher...

Re: Reading FC Womens World

The Cube Selsey have withdrawn from the league, so it's down to 11 clubs.

Hopefully this season we will be counting down from the top of the table rather than up from the bottom.

Boy, Maidenhead United must be starting to get pissed off with their former manager taking all of these players with him!

Re: Probable transfer nonsense - Knibbs leaving

New interview with Noel dropped today, he says he hasn't spoken to Knibbs about it yet, but he's still a Reading player. If he's right mentally, sounds like there's a chance he could be involved at Lincoln. IMO and from snippets I've heard, his mind left us some time back. I suspect he/his agent wi...

No way were 22000 there today, watched on Royals tv and the East stand was nowhere near full, loads of empty seats visible in every stand in view of the camaras Yeah, was well short of 20k Over 20,000 It was half empty at kick off, with grim traffic around the ground and big queues to get in, plus ...

Re: Pre Season games 2025/6

Knibbs has some strapping on his knee according to observant fans on twitter, could be him. He got hoiked away from the Bearwood Open Day by one of the backroom staff (LB - can't remember his full name!) and looked to be heading to the Physios. Not sure where they were going to treat him though, gi...

Re: Pre Season games 2025/6

Could anyone please translate Hunty's injury update on Royals TV. I got that someone is returning to training on Monday and someone else has got a knee injury but i genuinely couldn't make out which players he was talking about. Jacob’s in training on Monday Genuinely no idea who has the knee injur...

Re: Bearwood Open Day

A really good day, very well organised. Plenty of opportunities to meet and chat with not only players and playing management but all of the support staff. I enjoyed getting to chat to Roberto, who I knew from his time with Reading Women, as he oversaw the washing of all the kit. Even in that area, ...

Re: Next seasons kit choice?

Yeah, I don't think the problem is the price of our shirt - it's the price of football shirts overall. I hope kit pricing isn't one of the US business models that our new owners will be adopting. If you think shirts are overpriced here (I tend to agree) you should see how MLS sting fans in the US -...
