Carolyne was delighted to see Green Party candidate Graham Storey win the Wash Common by-election for Newbury Town Council. Graham secured more votes than the Liberal Democrat and Conservative candidates put together, despite Liberal Democrat campaign leaflets claiming the only realistic choice was between the Liberal Democrat and the Conservative. Graham will join Councillors Steve Masters and David Marsh on Newbury Town Council, where the Greens form the official opposition to the Liberal Democrats.
