Reading came away from Brighton with a draw in their latest pre-season fixture. However it was another below average performance from the Royals as they get ready for the Premier League campaign. The first half saw the home side enjoy much the better of the action, and they went in a goal up at the break after scoring from the penalty spot. Reading's poor first half showing improved in the second half but the Royals had to wait until very late for Hal Robson-Kanu to score the equaliser after Cummings set it up. Two hundred Reading fans made the trip down in an 8,000 crowd - not bad for a friendly!
Starting Eleven:
Federici, Cummings, Gorkss, Pearce, Harte, McAnuff, Leigertwood, Guthrie, Robson-Kanu, Pogrebnyak, Le Fondre.
Meanwhile, a Reading XI side made the journey to Hemel Hempstead tonight. The highlight for Royals fans was the appearance of Jem Karacan who managed to play 45 minutes. The Royals side picked up a draw with Jordan Obita scoring.
