Hob Nob Anyone?

Trying to trace my old school mate Quelchy, used to live in Norfolk Road, last saw him at Elm Park 1978ish.

He had a twin Brother called Squelchy!. Both where little barstewards .

He spoke very well of you by all accounts,t taipairoyal.

HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA. I remember good ole Felchy, used to keep ferrets and hamsters. He suffered really bad piles (inflamed).

Come on someone must remember the Quelch family from Reading, sorry cant remember his first name we always called him Quelchy at school. He definitely lived in Norfolk Road almost opposite Elm Park, a real salt of the earth but not into Felching (like Lux) is).
I think his Dad worked at Earley.

There is a van parked in East Reading that belongs to a tradesman that goes by the name of Quelch.

Lorenzo Quelch was a socialist union organiser and is buried in Semi Junction cemetery. Wouldn't have thought you'd have much in common with him, but an organisation he joined was called the National Socialists after a WW1 split, so maybe you would have something to discuss over a pint.

I wonder if he harbours ambitions to move up to national level.

We had a Quelch at our school in Maiders. He had such a big head he couldn't get the helmet on when we went go karting for activity week.

We had a Mark Welch at Ashmead who was called squelchy if that helps at all??

I had never heard of the surname before today

I know someone nicknamed Belchy, might be a relation.
