YorkshireRoyal99 Poor from Spurs. I didn't think much of Milan over 2 legs but Spurs didn't look like they were ever going to win and when you're taking arguably your most creative influence off in Kulusevski for a CB, who isn't even that good himself, is a poor move.

I'm not sure what Spurs' next move is now. Conte's future has been in doubt for a while now, but they've had both him and Mourinho who are proven winners and still haven't won anything. Maybe time to tear up the blueprint somewhat and start again with a more progressive manager, but they've had that before with Poch and still not won anything.

Great isn't it?

Tbf I've got no personal issue with Spurs or anything, although I do think there some of their fans are absolutely daft for thinking they are "entitled" to winning things because they are a big club.

Once again I see this opinion and once again, absolutely no Spurs fan thinks they are entitled to trophies

I’m surprised at this from the protectors of the one true faith of pure football. (See also West Ham)

URZZZZ Spurs were absolutely appalling. Spent 60 minutes of the game strolling around like it was a pre-season friendly. Haven’t seen a team play so languid in a game of that magnitude

There was 10 minutes of relative promise before the red card although Sanchez for Kulukevski may be the single worst sub I’ve seen in a long time chasing a game! How Son keeps his place each week is a mystery too, offered absolutely nothing to the side all season

Conte has the looks of a man who knows he won’t be there next season

TBF he hasn't been recently, has been dropped a fair bit.

Agree with the rest of the assessment though. The Sanchez substitution was ridiculous and arguably a sackable offence.

The Sanchez substitution had to be for a reason.
Did they change shape at the back, releasing somebody to play further forward (Dier into midfield?) or was it just for an extra body in the box to try and get on the end of crosses from corners (they had quite a few near the end).

There had to be a reason but that useless Jenas couldn't come up with anything-one of the worst pundits around (of the many) who does nothing much more than moan when supposedly paid to give "expert " opinion.

Fairly obvious wasn’t it that it was done to keep shape after Romero’s red card?

I get in one sense that you don’t want to go too gung ho in case it goes to ET but he should have just kept it the same especially as he was one of their best performing players on the night

On a side note, I bet Danjuma is glad Spurs hijacked his move to Everton!

If I were a Spurs supporter I would be asking why they'd want to keep a shape that clearly wasn't working. Seemed like an ideal opportunity to go for the jugular at the end of the game. Can certainly see why Spurs fans are frustrated.

It's Sevilla's competition though to a degree (or the Unai Emery competition). On paper, you'd think those 3 sides although Juventus may need to win that for a route in the CL, Arsenal may have one eye on the PL title and United will want to consolidate a top 4 position.

Roma and Leverkusen are no pushovers either and, again, Sevilla have something about them in this competition, even if they've been well off it in the league.

Looking at the Serie A table you'd think Roma would be a better bet than Juve.

Didn't Juve get a 15 point deduction?

I didn't even know that!

They'd be second without the deduction.

Yeah it kinda went under the radar. Since the deduction came in they have massively improved, must have motivated them.

Sounds like you lot need to pay more attention to the European Football thread!

They have won just 4 of 7 Serie A games and taken 13 points from those games since they were deducted points.
They won 6 of the 7 Serie A games right before the points deduction, taking 18 points

In my defence, this story broke when I was sunning myself in Cape Town. I came back and clicked "mark as read" on all threads as I couldn't be arsed to wade through everything.

My Gawd, Arsenal had better hope Odegaard, Partey and Saka don’t get injured for the PL run in.

Without them they are so diminished. Vieira particularly is hopeless.
